Are you saying the maf is epoxied into place?
I believe he meant maf aluminum tubing that is pressed and glued into the air filter base, maf sensor however is mounted to that aluminum tubing with two bolts/screws.

Anybody put one of these on a GT350 IM and TB yet? I will be doing the IM and TB at some point so I want a CAI that will just be a hose and clamp change to swap it to the new TB.

You are welcome sir... And I did not see in any posts that the problems with the first generation were fixed... You have me sold. Is the intake tube still the same size? Because it was a tight fit. Glad you guys got those issues sorted out, will be purchasing... Again :)
No, we change it quite a bit for more clearance around the hood and fan shroud.

Correct, you only need to change the coupling from a 4-3.5" to a straight coupling.

A. Then you should have just told those customers who could not stand the sight of some extra clamp hanging off to cut the excess with some wire cutters or tin snips... Instead of making everyone else struggle with clamps that are simply too small.

B. I doubt that... A set of quality, OEM-like hex head bolts with washers and locking nut is like two dollars at the hardware store... I would have paid 20 dollars extra for some decent clamps/bolts/glue and not have to suffer any of this. Take note, I'm pretty sure everyone else feels the same way.

C. Wait, so you're actually telling me that fitting is supposed to come off? But it's getting bonded with some "stronger epoxy" now? Which is it, should it come off or no? I'd love some of that new epoxy and a new high quality bolt/nut to fix my brand new intake...
A. I apologize. Most customers would not want to cut their clamps with tin snips. We can send you some longer clamps if you would like. This is the first time someone has told us they had trouble getting the clamps to work.

B. Again, I'm not sure what to say. These stainless bolts, washers and nylocks are quite a bit more expensive than the factory style hardware. I will do a test today and find out exactly how much torque it takes to sheer a bolt and post the results. Either way, we will send you some replacement hardware.

C. The fitting is removable, it was designed to come out. That was confusing for some people who were not familiar with how PCV fittings usually mount. We decided to start using epoxy to make it more permanent so some customers would not be confused and think it was broken because it could be removed.

I hope everybody else here realizes not only the great customer service but just the straight kindness going on here! You sir not only have a great product but you also seem to be a good person in general.
I hope the best for you and I will be contributing by purchasing a new no tune intake today!

Sounds good then! I love how it looks and sounds, just bad luck I guess.

You can actually squeeze the coupling you provide onto the GT350 throttle body. I just did it myself. Actually fits on nice and snug.

If I remember correctly, some people were warming up a piece like that on the 3vs. It would soften it enough to stretch over and then harden again.

Just ordered one. I swore I would never put an intake on my car but this one seems to be a hit. Lets hope I made the right call.

Copied over from my build thread:

So I've been doing this today:

Which resulted in this:

The difference in the max HP figures is with the stock intake fitted and then the PMAS intake.

As you can see, that's a 9BHP difference, at the wheels, which I'm pretty damn pleased with TBH. :)

Working on a figure of 17% transmission losses (which splits the difference between the figures of 15% & 20% that are usually bandied about), that gives a peak figure of 430ishBHP at the crank. So even allowing for the dyno over-reading, that's still a cracking figure.

PMAS JUSTIFIED! :D

Bear in mind our UK cars are officially rated at 412bhp due to a different header & EU regs. :frusty:

FYI, there was a 2 degree air temp difference between the 2 runs.

It's not all about peak numbers. There are some solid gains across the whole graph. Looks like solid gains for a no tune intake.
