So on the last dyno run I pulled the entire inlet hose out so it was just the D1SC breathing air directly.

It only picked up 4rwhp.

The stock PC inlet flows well enough.

Just a FYI thread from my experience.

Thanks for this! I was thinking about a better flowing filter but now I can save the $

Glad someone dyno'd their car without the tube on their car to see what it would do without it.

i wonder if at a higher boost level if there would be more of a difference? you see racecars all the time without filters on but for a street car that has to go to and from the track, it would be very interesting.

Also, the main reason that we considered a new inlet is because we had TWO cars come in with collapsed Procharger rubber elbows. One was the first design, and the other was the 2nd (redesign). But, with a velocity stack, and larger diameter inlet tube, you will notice decent gains.

I am all about making things more efficient. I am trying to, within budget, wring every last HP without swapping pulleys, cutting the car up, or making it undrive-able. Might do cams next, one piece driveshaft then a fuel system with a smaller pulley in the end.

My goal was 650rwhp and I have no idea why I keep going. The Corvette needs my love.

4.5" @ 10psi.

I have a 4.25" sitting here on the bench though.
Hmmmm I have a 4.75 and PC said that would get me to 10psi with headers...wondering if i need to give them a shout.

z06 is on the holley intake too. less restriction less boost pressure. Boost is a relative number.

Elevation also plays a big part in how much boost you will see with the pulley they sent you. I make 10psi now where I live, but when I drove to another city that was 3000'+ more feet in elevation, I lost about 3-4psi of boost on my setup. Just saying, the elevation where he lives is more than likely different from where you live.
