Has anyone installed aftermarket sway bars yet? I've seen a few kits available and was wondering if anyone has done this modification and had good results.

I was looking into the ford racing or steeda sway bar kit.

Do you realize there are torque sensors on the GT350 sway bars that send data to the computer for stability control?
Why would you change a component that was designed for the track and works so well?

Didn't know that but I have a base GT350 and didn't see any sensors on the rear sway when I was down there.

I'm considering doing my front bar but I don't want it to be excessive either. I feel like the rear is well behaved and very predictable. I don't want to boink that up.

My two cents. Have you mastered your car? reached its limits consistently? consistent lap times? If not what is the point? Only mod so far are the FP catch cans becuase I am tracking the car. I have a relatively short list of mods I plan on doing but not till I accomplish the above mentioned.

Base 350 doesn't have them because you don't have MagRide. With that said, bigger sway bars will just cause the car to rotate more, which is what you don't need. The car is almost perfectly balanced.

I added a steeda k member brace up front and the BMW cradle lock out and it change the car completely. Love how it drives now.

How does it drive? does it improve the performance or just feel? My point is, most that modify do so just because and do not realize it is just a placebo effect. Have you tracked your car and base lined it prior to the mods?

Improved both and no haven't tracked. Wasn't a placebo effect, the difference was quiet noticeable.

Did you have to eliminate the belly pan with the Steeda K-member brace?
I didn't use the actual k member brace. I used the other that's header friendly since I plan on adding headers. But I believe both fit with no modification.

So you haven't tracked the car so how could you possibly know that you have a performance Improvement? You actually Define the placebo effect because you have no quantifiable data to support your position. You cannot possibly test the performance the performance limits of a GT350 on a public Road

I didn't want to go there, but yes I did. I do it everyday on public roads as its my daily driver ;)

Safely of course :)

So if I add a whipple and don't test the data, would it be safe to assume it's a placebo effect?

Ok cool. Was just wondering since the rear sway is very thin compared to the aftermarket.
