Plus, wouldn't you rather have something a bit more exclusive that isn't populating 50% of every parking lot?
That kind of thinking is what made the 40th anniversary Camaro so exclusive.

I never understood why Camaro and Mustang owners give a rat's ass about sales numbers. Do you have stock in the company? If not, who cares? The Toyota Camry outsells both combined so does that mean we should all go out and buy Camrys? I've never factored monthly sales figures in my decision for a vehicle...

The better vehicle (performance, value, etc) is not based on how many are sold per month. Plus, wouldn't you rather have something a bit more exclusive that isn't populating 50% of every parking lot?
This is like saying "Nobody should look at pictures of Marilyn Monroe because so many people look at pictures of Marilyn Monroe." When you're hot you're hot. Mustang is hot, Camaro is not. Sales set them apart. So which DVD are you going to buy, the Marilyn Monroe movie or the Rosie O'Donnell movie?

Exclusive is Bugatti, Ferrari, Lambo. The challenger is the worse selling domestic pony car. And there everywhere.

Like many on here, as soon as I saw the camaro "new generation" that was nothing more than an ugly refresh appearance wise I knew their sales were doomed. Yes to the hardcore enthusiasts they advanced the bar performance wise but the new model looks hardly different at all to joe average and in my opinion regressed. The rear end with that mess of a spoiler and jacked up height looks like something conceived in 1998.

As for the Mustang it's a stunner, they finally just about nailed it on all models. Even the base models and V6s are pretty and no longer make me cringe when they drive buy. I'm seeing at least 1 or 2 everyday now on the ride to and from work. The rear end is a work of art on this generation.

Challengers are everywhere around here. V8's seem to be fairly rare though. No surprise as they are overpriced.

You might but GM doesn't you can bet they would like to be selling as many if not more than the Mustang

Likely not a huge reason but very possible that the Mustang being more mod friendly than the other two platforms could have something to do with the sales number. Way more modding options for the Mustang.

Unlikely. Most customers don't mod, despite what you see on the forums.

That is one good reason, Ford worked with the aftermarket before the new Mustang was released so when it hit the street the mods were ready no waiting to personalize you car

Mods are not just superchargers, suspension and body mods they can as simple as different wheels and a stripe
