Mustang Jun 2016 Delivery (sales): 9,776 -17% (Pr Ye)

Compared to Competition:

Camaro Jun 2016 Deliveries (actual sales): 4,969 -43% (Pr Ye)
Challenger Jun 2016 Delivery (sales): 5,479 -20% (Pr Ye)

YTD (2016):

Mustang = 62,965
Camaro = 36,834
Challenger = 34,607

Im in the car business and trust me everything is slow now nationwide. If the camaro had been a redesign like the mustang it would be selling but its refresh new engine lighter platform but still the matchbox car look and you still cant see outta of them! I see a 15/16 mustang nearly every day. I Think I've seen maybe 5 new camaros this year! The mustang is selling because its a better looking car, very destinct in its styling and the appearance is easily enhanced with mods to look even better!

I was at a car show yesterday that was partly sponsored by several local car dealers. Featured in the new car display were a couple of new Scat Pack Challengers, a Comp Orange GT/CS, a white/blue GT350, and a blue Camaro 2SS coupe.

The GT350 was the obvious traffic generator, as were the Challengers. I saw very few even giving the Camaro a serious glance. Shame since it's a good car, but it just doesn't have much of any appreciable presence.

No one knows what GM's plan was, they could be making enough profit selling 10 of them

The camaro exterior just didn't change enough plain and simple. I seriously considered a camaro but I'm not spending 40k+ on a car that barely looks different than the gen5.

The changes that were made only served to make it look less appealing to me.

This is getting really old every month,who the F cares about the Camaro numbers,the auto industry is off by 25% in sales this year,and if any of you watch the business news, they are expecting the ENTIRE auto industry (new&used ) to TANK in the coming years,so don"t get to dam excited about so called Mustang sales, or all the new styling coming down the pipe line, because the world and what is left of our economy is changing,and it doesn"t favor the auto industry.

Was at the drag races in Norwalk ths weekend. GM had a booth with a new Camaro. Myt wife asked why we didn't buy one instaed of the Mustang. I told her to sit in it and she would know why. Really pissed the GM guy off.

I hear around 6000-7000 2016 Camaro's still haven't reached the dealerships due to the 20,000 overstock. I'm not sure what's going to happen to those cars once the 2017's roll out.

As of now, nearly 21,000 new Camaro's waste away while 6000+ are "awaiting transport"... Dealers can't take anymore Camaro's and as of now, there is a 120 Day supply of them.

If the Camaro dips below 5000 cars this summer, it's a goner...


thePill feels June 2016 sales could be 15-25% less Year over Year, maybe a 5-8% drop from last month... dangerously close to 5000.
