These lasts 2 posts are no bueno.
Thats at least 9 emails that would already have been sent to FP :)

I really believe that if we advise them via email with a CC to all Tech pack owners, they, Ford, will really do something a lot quicker. I think i have heard that Ford will do something 2nd quarter of next year but I am not really sure.

To all the Base/Tech owners that has not had limp mode on the hwy, and this is just hypothetical, maybe you have come close and just didn't know it or just lucky. I don't know, I just think the sooner we act the better it will be for all Tech pack owners.

Does anyone know if an email trail going to FP has been started/created?
Meaning if anytime we go into limp mode, not track limp mode, during street/hwy driving is this being documented and FP made aware, I am not sure if the dealers are being concerned peeps and reporting it to FP.
I get my car tomorrow and I consider myself a proactive individual.
You ask, what the hell is trying to say? My point is if every time our cars does hit limp mode we should send an email to one direct contact at FP and WE SHOULD ALWAYS CC all of us that wants to be in the "KNOW". ....
Hello AGGT350,

Have you experienced this concern? If so, have you been able to have your dealer look at it?

I will be extremely surprised if you have any problem at 70 mph. When the problem occurs, it limits RPM to 4,500 or so. At 70 mph you will not be anywhere near 4,500 RPM if you are in 5th or 6th gear.

However, when I had the problem occur, the ambient temperatures were in the 60s or 70s, so if the problem occurs at 100+ degrees, the car might do something different.

I like your suggestion of good communication and involving other owners in the communication.
Were you able to bring this up to your dealer’s attention, Hack?

Mine has went into limp on the highway 3 times ..no prompts on the 3 just the car falling on its face.going about 70for 45 minutes in mid 90s weather.
Dave have you reported it (I assume so) and has Ford done anything? Recommended anything?
I am in the same boat as you except i'm about half a dozen times now...
Have you guys brought this up to your dealer? Also, please PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number. I’ll loop in the customer service manager for your area if needed.

Hi Deysha,

I have not, I am taking delivery tomorrow. I am just being proactive on behalf of myself and especially others here that have experienced the Limp Mode on the public streets and highway.
For example, I am very weary of taking my GT350 to Las Vegas in August and we all know that from CA to LV this is when the heat really begins. I should not have to think about this when I paid top dollar for a vehicle.
BTW, thanks for chiming in, I am sure that everyone here also appreciates it.
Lastly, if I do experience the limp mode (and I am praying I don't), I will communicate promptly.
Thanks again.

As of now the car is parked and not moving.I've been in contact with dawn at ford customer service..she offered me an extended warranty which does nothing for me as I have almost 6k in extra warranties I bought for this car..this is how ford treats customers that buy4 brand new vehicles in 7months..I've had nothing but hell with this car from faulty bumper bracket to 2bad coils and a bum tranny shame on ford!!!
BTW I've got 2000 miles on the car and 350 of which are from back and forth to the dealer

Well, congrats on your new GT350, AGGT350! It’s always good to be proactive. You’re very welcome, and know I’m here to help.

They need to give you the cooler solution at no charge, extended warranties do nothing to prevent limp mode. Its good that they offered you something though, they just need to offer you the correct solution.

Hi Deysha,
I have had the car looked at by a local dealership. I sent you a PM.
Thank you for getting involved.

Some definitely seem to have better luck than others. The first time I take it in I will request a fluid change.
Agreed. For mine I have yet to have any issues (have tracked it, auto crossed it, stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in hot weather, etc.), Ill report back if anything negative happens.

Side question, is there a cheaper alternative to measure tranny temps than the N-gauge? $400-600 just to measure tranny temps is ridiculous as I will never use this gauge to its full potential.

a few of us have essentially been told to "pound sand, we can't do anything for you, find your own solution."

Some have already ditched their gt350, others have opted to take a bath on the 2016 and order a 2017, but all, i can promise are not happy with how the scenario has been handled.

What would you recommend to those who are running into limp mode during street usage, do to help you guys document everything, so that they can have a satisfactory resolution?

any odb2 scanner configured for it should work with app or readout, its just a PID I think.

Thanks,

I couldn't afford the 14k bath on the 2017. Also to add several folks have been told by dealers when we were negotiating trades, that they didn't want to have to worry about re-selling the base or tech cars as buyers have shown an understanding of the issue at this point. the resell market is worse every week as more people hit limp mode. A dealer in the canton area has had other dealers trying to offload their tech packs to him at 5 k over and he is laughing them off the phone.

this issue will determine if I ever buy a ford product again.

I Also hope this is not an issue where the owner is put through the ringer, and forced to expend valuable time and money to "prove" an established pattern for their car with multiple dealer trips. If I have to do that, its going back to Ford by way of the Lemon first. I'm getting to old to deal with this stuff.
