Try this....after you wash the car, take off your spray nozzle on your hose and turn the water on so its coming out but not super super hard (LOL). Then starting on the roof, run the water over and watch the weight of the water from the hose pull the water off the car, essentially "dry" the car. Its called "flooding". I do it after every wash and while there is SOME water remaining, theres not much....really helps with preventing spotting. Then finish drying with either a waffle towel with quick detailer or your choice of dryer ( I have a Master Blaster).

Yeah, I said a couple posts ago I think part of my issue is rinsing with the pressure washer, which creates a lot of mist/little bubbles. I will be trying just the straight hose rinse next wash.

As for Ceramic Pro Sport, I've mentioned that its the "official" maintenance coating for Ceramic Pro. It looks like it is sprayed on and used while drying, or applied to a dry car. But since that stuff is only available from 1 site that I've found and is $69, I wanted to know if anyone has tried any other toppers and had good results.

Wow, that's a nice portable filtration system!

I may just try reload and report back. At the very least, I can use it on my other cars as a nice hydrophobic temp coating.

I have Ceramic Pro on my GT350. I picked up some Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine on Amazon, and am very pleased with it so far.

No topical is scratch proof, scratch resistant perhaps !
I wouldnt even go that far. SO much hype in the detailing industry.

But hey when you can sell people a $200 bottle of liquid through the installer and $70 top-up bottles to use regularly why not

Never used a coating, just good detailing technique, polish yearly and use a good sealant and wax (with good wash technique). Never had a paint issue that couldnt be corrected; and if not it a 2 nanometer coating wouldnt have helped either.

You can use Reload. It's the same thing as Ceramic Pro SPORT, just much weaker. Reload is 5% silicone dioxide, and its meant to top CQuartz, which is a similiar coating.

Reload claims 6 months of durability, but SPORT claims 1 year. Sport is rather strong, as once you're done using the spray trigger on the bottle, you have to rinse water through it as it hardens in the nozzle and tube.

*I've had 3 cars coated with Ceramic PRO, and in close relations to the professional applier in my area* My current mustang has 5 layers on it, including wheels, glass, etc. Applied via HVLP.

Thanks for the info! I only have 1 coating, which since I only drive it on nice days, should last a long while.

I reached my detailer, he said he can get me some Pro Sport. Just waiting to see how much he wants to charge for it.

As far as Detailing sprays- I use The Surf City Garage SPEED DEMON.
It works great to keep the car looking great between washes. It can be used on glass too- which I like.
I can get it at my local WALMART- another bonus.

Great info here!
Where is your detailer and what is the name please! What does HVLP mean?
Thank you.
