I'm considering trying to "liven" up the sound of my 15 GT soon. Ain't trying to spend stupid money for a terrible sound. These look like good options separately as I've heard they get pretty loud with a reso delete and axleback mufflers. I like the idea of lightening up the car a little. It also seems these cars have the rasp just waiting to come out, I guess the xpipe would really make that worse. JBA appears to have great pricing on their exhaust, but I heard they no longer make their own stuff. Thanks for any input..:)
Oh, I'm 44 and I loved the sound of my LS1 cars with an adjustable Borla catback, longtubes with high flow cats as a reference. Also loved the sound of my 14 GT with the GT500 axleback.

A resonator delete does a great job at increasing the sound of your stock exhaust and doesn't have any drone to it at all. I'd try that with the stock mufflers before anything else but that's just my opinion.

Here's how the car sounds with just the resonator delete kit we offer.

I would just go with an h pipe resonator delete. If you still want more sound, add some axle backs later on.

I have the Ford racing X pipe with stock mufflers, and I enjoy the sound. Its pretty raspy in 1st and 2nd gear if you are wide open, but 3rd smooth's it out and sounds great. Regular cruising from 2500-4000 rpm is pure sex IMO. I may get axle backs later but I have been happy with the stock mufflers for now with this set up.

Agreed on all points! I very much enjoy the sound of my x-pipe resonator delete. Blips for rev matched downshifts are awesome sounding.

Just ordered the JBA Axleback last night. Also found another guy who has the same combo (JBA + X pipe). This is the sound:

Thanks for posting. One I'm considering after I get my SW longtubes with cats on.

I was very happy with that for a while too. The high rpm rasp in 1st and 2nd, and tinny overall sound started to make me less happy with it, so I started looking for a mild axleback.

I did the H pipe as well and agree about the high rpm rasp.
