As per this video the wing costs as much as CF wheels?

[ame]

If thats true then owning an R will be a rather stressful venture. God forbid that wing requires replacement due to legit reasons....

The reason you hang around and continually post about why you aren't buying a GT350 is beyond me. Just go buy your old M3, already.

The new M2 has no wing to break either. Another solid choice.

If you have nothing constructive to say, dont say anything. I posted a legitimate question. I was watching the video and wanted to share what I saw.

And the whole M3 thing is way overblown, please let it go. In the end, i decided to not go through with it thanks to a number of members helping me out.

Posted a legitimate question? Please read your original post and let me know what question you asked. Decided not to buy due to members helping you out? Did they tell you how much you can afford to spend?

Serious question. Did you not say you were good for an R up to $7500 over MSRP? If so, now you have decided you can't afford it?

I dont think my post was clear.

$15,000 for a carbon fiber rear wing does not make sense. It almost seems like FP is marking up these prices to make these parts unreachable so that people dont retrofit their base cars and R loses exclusivity. Which is fine the only problem is if you are a legitimate R owner, then you are pretty much paying ridiculous markups to keep the R brand.

I highly recommend you take a look at the GT3RS wing which is adjustable and probably much higher quality - cost is 1/2 of the R wing. Got my point now? Its got nothing to do with paying to play.

Regarding your comment about ADM. Dont confuse "financial ability to afford" with "willingness to pay extra".

Warren Buffet is a billionnaire, I guarantee you he wouldnt pay a dime mark up on any product, period. Its all about mentality. So stop twisting my words to make it look like I am this poor kid who cannot afford this car and badmouthing it so. Thats not fair. I said this before, I will most likely snatch an R at the right price or my itch will give in and I will pay the ADM.

What does the GT3RS wing have to do with the R? Is it the same part number? Additionally, have you done any follow on research to back up the claim of $12-15K for the wing? I have. Do you believe everything you see/read on the internet?

Stop with the whining. Nobody gives a shit about fairness. You continually post reasons you don't want an R. Continually try to show what else people could be spending their money on. On multiple occasions you have referenced Buffet. Are you him? If not, here is a secret, you will never be as successful as he. Leno is on record stating that he paid a premium for his R. He isn't as wealthy as Buffet, but not doing to bad. Does that make him stupid?

The reason for posting here was to check what was stated in the video.... You need to seriously calm down and stop attacking me. Maybe go enjoy your R?

I can turn what you said around also, just because I am not willing to pay 30-40k ADM does not mean I am stupid, will be unsuccessful in life, and dont deserve this car. There are always two sides. Why cant you respect my thinking because it offends you because you paid god knows how much ADM for your cars over the years?

I had a simple question and I posted here and I am actually curious about the answer. Can we get back to the topic please?

And to the other point regarding RS.... That car is far more exclusive with ridiculous markups yet you dont see Porsche ever price gauging on parts do you? From a functionality perspective and complexity perspective, it is much more complex and was probably more difficult to engineer dont you think, yet it costs half price?

No. Well, maybe others can get back to the simple question that you DID NOT post. You never once asked a question.

You can turn around and say whatever you want. It is obvious that you have hormonal issues and lean towards the feminine side of things. Every time you make a single post about an R, you pick the absolute worst thing you can find. $15K for the wing. $30-$40K ADM.

What about the very easily findable links that show the wing for $7000. Or ADM's in the $5000-$15,000 range? You seem to gloss over those.

Again, cut the shit with the "calm down" and "stop attacking" posts. Nobody is riled up but you. Nobody is attacking you. You view people calling your BS as attacking, but it isn't. Everyone here can see you for what you truly are. Bitter.....

Where is the wing for $7000?

More importantly R for $5000 ADM? Give me the info so I can buy one and shut up?

Far more exclusive? Uhm, there are more 2016 Porsche GT3 RS worldwide than R's. And no price gouging from Porsche????? Have you ever owned one? Go get an oil change and tell me there isn't price gouging.

First off, you shouldn't take everything that you see on the internet as gospel, more so from a video salesman with limited knowledge of what he is talking about.
If you do more research out there on the cost of the R wing from Ford, you can find them listed for anywhere between $4000 and $12,000. That only indicates the tremendous markup and the lack of availability.
Aftermarket replicas can be had for $400 to $800 in fiberglass and $800 to $1700 in carbon fiber.
Just trying to help.

There is this thing called the internet, look it up. There are R's that went for MSRP. There are R's that went for less than MSRP(MAS deals). Don't stress over it though, just go build your M3 and enjoy it.
