Regardless of 18 or 19, matching the widths to a reasonable tire wall is proving to be a serious challenge. I just kinda went through all options tonight in a preliminary thinking mode, if you will, and it seems more practical to use the 305/35-19 offerings in all 4 corners. But if you do that and say you get 11" wheels all around, you're kinda stuck now and the best you can do for widths are probably 305 front 315 back. But that's really really nit picking. Compound will trump 10 mm of width any day.

RE71Rs are heavier because they have more surface contact and conpound. 200 tread wear Extreme Performance category, not Max. Those 4 lbs mean dick compared to how stupid sticky they are against something like Continental DWs or Pirelli PZeros. What models where you looking at from Conti, Goodyear, Michelin etc?
Yeah, I wasn't looking for 200 tire wear, more like 300, cuz this was daily driver and it has no power... (I should have stayed with 17's" but, well, got a deal on the wheels) It would be nice to see how heavy the cup tires are on the "R", Michelin makes a light tire, that still has decent sidewall.

Not if your GT350 is going to see daily driver duty year round. An all season and winter tire option would be nice.
I'm going to be running the 19 inch rims that came with the Brembo brake package on my 2011 GT for winter with Blizzak snows on them and then run the stock wheel and tire in the summer.

You could also run the Boss 302S rims available pretty cheap on tire rack. I don't see any reason to run full width rims in the winter. Might as well go narrower to save a little money on snow tires.

the cup tires are rated better then most racing slicks, i would stick with them.

Are those going to clear the front 6 piston calipers? From what I remember, the Brembo Brake Package wheels clear the 4 piston calipers of the old car by maybe 3 millimeters or so.

Since the PP and Limited Edition Stangs have different sizes on back .vs. front - and thus no spare tire, should we get run-flat tires?

Good to see that a set of Hoosier R7's are cheaper than Pilot Super Sports in that size! Easy to justify to the wife that you need slicks to save $$$ :D

True but they'll need to be replaced within 37 feet of travel. [emoji41] But if you're tracking and all then yeah of course. I'm mainly autocross so stuff like RE 11 s work fine for me.
