Love the Triumph! Handles like a dream and brakes. The brembo's are amazing! So good that I had to get rid of the stock rotors. Wouldn't hold up 1 day. Switch them out to brembo free floaters! All the difference in the world!

I personally like the smaller bikes over the bigger ones. More for the handling. Just hate when the big ones smoke you down the straights.

Ahh. They just said that the person that stopped by on Saturday was upset that they wouldn't accept the deposit. I presumed it was you. I had no thoughts of you trying to "backdoor" me as I didn't learn of anyone visiting the dealer until about 5:30 when I was in the dealership today. However, they said that someone stopped by on Saturday and was quite upset that they wouldn't accept his down payment.

I'll take a number & get in line for a chance at getting a "R".
I'll sell my '16 GT350 track op. tomorrow. Go thru the whole process again to get the "R".

After driving it at Button Willow. Then, having my instructor really show me what it's Really capable of doing... Was flat out amazing ! You might not drive another car that does what this One does. Way too much Fun.
This kind of car doesn't happen everyday. Might not happen again.

Yeah somebody tried to do the same to me at the dealer where I'm getting mine. Offered them 25K over sticker, if the would yank the deal away from me and sell it to them.

Pisses me off that someone would want to do that to someone else!

Yeah, that is the vibe I got tonight. Apparently, the guy that went in on Saturday was upset that they wouldn't accept his deposit and informed them that the car was worth $10K over and he would do that on the spot.

I assume it was someone on the forum as they didn't even know they had the allocation prior to me calling on Thursday and them looking into it for me.

Based on what is being posted here with respect to your dealership getting numerous offers on your R over the weekend and on Monday I suggest that you should be very thankful that this dealership waited that long for you to make up your mind and eventually sold the car to you in the end.

After what looks like numerous inquiries on this car many dealerships would have either just sold the car sooner or could have taken the highest offer on this car and based on today's market place could have certainly gotten more than a $10K ADM and this car could have been lost very easily.

Congratulations on a terrific car at a very good price in today's market place!

This is the events : I went to the ford website on Saturday and put in that I was interested in a 350r and in 3 minutes the dealership called me and said that they could get one .. So I went in and the salesman said they could get what I want .. The salesman did not know if they had an allocation and she did not know the price as the sales manager was not there .. There was nothing said of price and nothing any a deal as she did not know any info on an allocation except she could get one ..

Today she called me and said they could get a 17 350r and it would be 10k over .. So I went to the dealer and then that's when said that they had a customer deciding and it would be 10k over .. She said they would know by 5 , i told them to call if the customer did not take it .. Promise that is how it went down ..

No worries at all man. I didn't mean to come off as being pissed or a jerk. Was simply giving the forum hell as I assumed my original post is what drummed up the interest in this particular R. Now, I was told that someone came in on Saturday and offered to put down a deposit on the car that day, but they had already had a deal with me. A deal that "changed" between Friday at 5:30 and today at 5 when I got there. Whether they embellished or not, I do not know, but I have no reason to not believe you. Additionally, you certainly have no reason to explain yourself to me. All is good man.

That, I have no idea. I can only assume that it is that I said SC. There are only so many dealers. The sales manager told me today that they have received no less than 10 calls about the car on Saturday and Monday. I only told 3 people which dealer it was on this forum via PM or phone call.

With the amount of interest on these GT350's and especially the R model that is not really surprising to receive a bunch of inquiries.

Having said that there are a few ruthless people out there and by posting information about these R models this will certainly not stop certain individuals from back dooring someone such as yourself.

At the end of the day it all worked out for you and looking forward to seeing your R when it arrives.

Just imagine two 2017 R's in exactly the same rare color combination within ~70 miles of each other.

Will make a nice picture with these two great looking GT350R's as bookends for a Rudy Red R.;);)

Congrats on getting rid of the GT-R as that certainly makes your situation much easier.

I think your wife's choice of all white, no stripes and black roof is a real cool color combination and I believe that is the same color combination of a friend of mine up in the Fort Mill, S.C. area so will be very neat to have 2 of the same. I suggest that these two cars will look outstanding all in white with a black roof.

Stay on the dealership for a VOC along with a VIN and scheduled production date as my R is scheduled to be built in about 2 weeks so hopefully you and Tim will also get early build dates so you can enjoy these outstanding cars sooner than later.

Did you add the Electronics Package or go with the base 920A?

I was originally ordering a different color and my wife said the same thing!
She also picked White, Black Roof and NO Stripes.
