Radiator Expansion Tank Cover?

I attached it and ran it straight down, then through a hole in the belly pan and put a thick o-ring on the underside of the belly pan to keep it from pulling back up.

I don't expect to drag race the car, so not worried about an additional overflow canister.

Installing the tank was simple. No instructions came in the box, but the online video is very detailed, so no problems. Have a good pitcher ready to catch and refill the anti-freeze. Best done as a two person job. Uses the original cap. Irritating that the decal on top of it doesn't line up either vertically or horizontally--oh well.

Fortunately, Mishimoto supplies replacement (traditional) hose clamps. The stock ones from Ford are a pain. Haven't run the hose from the overflow nipple yet, per Zombiekiller's method, but that should be fairly simple.

One note--the tank is heavier than the plastic pumpkin. Not a huge deal, but noticeable during install.

All in all, good fit and no issues.

A better picture below with the catch can hoses smoothed out. If I would have thought about it, I have access to a laser engraver. Coulda, shoulda, woulda put the GT350 logo or a cobra on it...

I just spoke to FTB, I'm going to pick up one of these covers. Its not expensive and easy to put on. The stock tank works well, no need to go overboard. Save the money another mod. FTB stuff is great stuff

I ordered one of the covers off EBay that someone posted about earlier. I was hoping one of the vendors would have taken the plunge to come up with something painted, but no luck. Every time I open the hood, I feel like I'm looking at the Prom queen with a big zit on her nose...dang you, Ford!
