For those out there that have changed their injectors to the upgraded 72# from Whipple do you have any suggestions or advice for a DIY install?

Any tricks to make it easier or instructions that will help me would be appreciated Greatly!

I did mine in the driveway. There really isn't too much to it. One thing to make sure of is to break the bolts on the blower pulley before you remove the belt, and don't forget about the bolt through the front of the blower right behind the pulley like I did...whoops. Once you get the blower off put rags or tape over the manifold so when you pull the injectors out of the rails gas doesn't spill into the cylinders. Lubricate the o-rings well with engine oil. I've always used petroleum jelly but either one works. I also took the opportunity to re-coat the orings on the lower manifold and in the bypass hole with Vaseline also. Other than that it's basically a straight forward install and really isn't anyway to make it faster or easier per say.

All in all took about 1 hour to install and load up the flight control tune.

Are you using the Whipple Tune and flash tool? If so, request the new tune in advance so it's available the day you do the install.

Can you do this by yourself or do you need help removing blower?

Help with the blower will make it easier for sure, but I lifted mine out by myself.

thanks,

My next and biggest problem will be trying to figure out how to download the flare tool program to my pc and then installing it :(

I hope it comes with instructions for Dummies when it arrives next Wednesday.
