As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have a Whipple supercharger on order.
I was told by my tuner friend who will be fitting the SC in my car that I will need to get ID1000cc Injectors and JMS Pump Booster, as both of the stock injectors and pumb won't handle the change in boost!

To be honest I was kinda surprised as to learn that, I haven't read anywhere that the injectors and pump needs upgrading.

Does anyone on the forum have any experience in this matter?

Cheers ,,,,

If you bought a complete kit then you have everything you need. If you bought a tuner kit, then you didn't and you'll need some other things.

then you have everything you need.
When he starts the install remove your PCM and overnight it to Whipple.

Yep, you have everything you need. 1000 lb injectors are not needed. Nice, but not needed. The boost a pump is optional and should be considered when putting down over 700 rwhp.

Careful, many on this forum will disagree that you have to have 1000cc injectors. :)

It's not needed, but the "discounted price" one can obtain them for, makes any other injector purchase an unwise decision.

Personally, I feel they are a safe bet for expansion, I mean who can argue with ID's quality?

All of the SC vendors are so anti-ID injectors it's silly. It's a no brainer to get them if you have any plans for bigger power down the road.

I've talk to various tuners and they all recommend them.

Vendors like beefcake and lethal yes.

Sc manufacturers that sell kits to vendors who make a little more profit if they package injectors with their kits don't. ;)

We offer a plug and play MSD pump booster as an optional component. This is by far the easiest install of the BAP's and is easily programmable with a USB cord and laptop, although it comes pre-calibrated. The JMS is a very nice setup as well.

The ID1000's are great injectors, only issue is the calibration is designed around the supplied injectors which is not the ID1000's.

The supplied fuel injectors are safe until 725RWHP with the BAP. After that point, one needs to go to bigger injectors, custom calibration and for sure BAP.

We could go to a larger OEM injector to support more power.
(and we may in the future)

We used an injector that supports what 90% of our users will need.
And has about 50-100 extra HP room to grow from the base power level
And is 100% OEM grade and quality.

When we order injectors we need consistency and reliability.
This ensures that everyones motor lives long and happy lives.

Another factory is CARB emissions testing.
We used an injector on this system that we were "familiar" with from a tuning aspect for when it comes to CARB testing.
And the ARB, likes consistency.

Hope this gives a little insight.

500 to 525rwhp is the limit for the stock fuel pump and 47pph injectors. There are some Ford injectors at 55pph or the pump booster that will get you another to 550/575 rwhp if you want more you'll need both. If you want over 650rwhp you're looking at ID1000. There are other injectors but they don't work as well with the higher unregulated fuel pressure.

It seem that I'll be going with the id1000 cc injectors, JMS pump booster and cutom tune, as I'm looking to put down over 650whp . Already modified the order not to include the tune and injectors.
Thanks to all for the feedback. Cheers,,,
