Last Tuesday at Target there was a storm that rolled thru with high winds. I thought I was safe parking out at the end of the lot at a highpoint, but when I was running out in the torrential rain, there were carts everywhere. I didn't see anything anywhere near my car, but I saw a Rav4 get hit by about 6 carts rolling thru the parking lot at 15-20 mph :/

Paints not cracked, so I'm hoping they can do paintless dent repair. I just saw it yesterday since I left for Mexico right after I got home from Target last week and I didn't see a scratch anywhere, but the car was wet. I wonder if Target will do anything - doubt it.

Anyone have similar issues at shopping centers? Are stores liable? It seems like they would have had a bunch of complaints because there were shopping carts everywhere and many surrounding cars. People in Florida are super lazy!

Oh man that sucks! I have had this happen to other vehicles and the store states they are not liable. They are unable to control people putting the carts back in the cart slots where they belong.

From what i'm seeing in the photo, looks like the paint wasn't affected and can just be buffed out once they fix the dent.
I think you'll be fine. Amazing what these dentless repair shop can do.

They fix my frien's GT350 roof rail from inside the car. Unbelievable what they did, you couldn't tell there was a dent there.

BTW lazy people are everywhere, especially here, plus they don't know how to drive.

Damn!!!!

I had a clear bra applied to the whole front end of my car. Thank god I did. It wasn't a week later that something came off the highway and hit the front end of my car. It looked like a piece of black plastic off the underside of a vehicle. Long story short the clear bra took the hit and no damage to the bumper or the paint. Payed for itself already!

Not that would have helped in this situation.

Good luck getting it fixed

There's no freaking way I'd ever take my GT-350 to a parking lot. Then again, If i could afford a GT-350 I probably wouldn't care.
Anyhow looks like an easy job for PDR.. You'll never know it happened.
But if you're worried, I'll trade you my GT!

Haha, something could happen just driving it down the road. A friend had there GTCS out and a huge seed fell from a tree and dented their hood.

Like I said, I take precaution where I park, but s**t happens, so.... I didn't buy it to be a garage queen, but still annoyed lol.

When I drive Christine I use parking lots. I just park far away from everybody else. I have had PDR done on my 15 GT door and the doors are the same. you will be fine.

Fucking fuckers. I hate these low life useless pieces of shit.
I had my FJ dinged the other day, the guy did it on purpose. My FJ was flawless after 3 years and bang, a freaking ding. It does not cost much to push it out but I just hate these people.

Be thankful it is in the steel door rather than the alum fenders. Not many people have alum experience yet.

Local paintless dent removal guy told me he sees the most dings on Porsches. Funny how that works. If you give them a chance to put a ding in your trophy the scum will do it - watch out!

It's probably because the Porsche owners are more concerned about their cars and have the money to get them repaired, not because people are evil and go out of their way to dent cars. At least that is what I want to believe.

You could get that out by thermal shocking it since it isn't on a crease. Alternating blow drying on high for 2 minutes with a minute of dry ice application. Put a sheet of aluminum foil between the car and the dry ice when you do it. The metal shouldn't be past its elastic limit so the thermal shocking will return it to the normal state.

I have documented proof it is in fact evil sometimes. On rennlist (ironic) one member stated that if someone pisses him off by parking too close to his beater VW daily he purposely slams his door into the car next to him to leave a ding and "teach them a lesson." Disgusting.

Yep. It is easier to bitch and complain that "the other guy" has nicer things than I do, someone should make it so I can have nice things to. As opposed to going out an WORKING HARD so you can have nice things.

I have a $4K 2006 Kia Spectra I take anywhere that I'm going to have to "park a lot" like on most errands and going out in the city. Even with that I park far away...
