Have read nearly 71 pages of this brilliant funny interesting forum, and have read many horror stories about the S550 from back windows, to paint chipping, poor Alignment on the hoods, boots, panels, bumpers. But also the sheer love of having the cars.
So my question is to the 2016 owners as I will soon be one, all these issues have any been resolved on the 2016 car? and as I am getting a California Special, what is the quality of them?
Many thanks

My hood is a mess, paint has scratches, and the seats have some insane wear going on for a car with only 200 miles now. Other than that it's OK so far...

The nature of internet forums are that people rarely post about things that aren't problems.
Sometimes this gives an overall negative impression.

That said, I have had zero issues with my 2016. The back window is fine, the paint isn't chipped, all the body panels line up the way they are supposed to, it doesn't leak, the engine hasn't started making noises or blown up. The transmission doesn't make strange noises or exhibit any unwanted behaviors. I don't have a wheel hop issue. I don't have weird rattles or strange vibrations at any speed.

Maybe mine just got built on a good day, but I suspect that this is the rule, while most of the issues that you read about are actually the exceptions.

If your car has any issues, they will most likely be rectified by the dealer or Ford. It is spelled warranty.

Don't worry about it. If there is something wrong, it will be fixed.

Congrats on your purchase!

No they are not resolved but it appears they are not cropping up as much as the 2015 models. The only issue I have with mine, which I will have owned 2 weeks as of tomorrow, is the back window is slightly lower on the left. My panel alignment appears perfect and see no obvious issues with paint so far.

Just check everything over when you take delivery.
Most of the stuff can be fixed/adjusted. It's not live or death. It could be worse, you could have a blown engine like the EB people.

This is a production car, not hand made. Somethings will not be perfect, but it is a FORD..it can't get better.. enjoy it

I have a 2016 California Special. My front fascia isn't perfectly aligned and is going to be replaced by the dealer because its actually warped, and the rear quarter panel is slightly off, which is being adjusted by the dealer. Other than that everything is good and I love the car.

With all you just said... Have you driven it yet? My 2016 has a few issues, but none at all? Come on.. How many miles?

Only 1000 miles so far, but I love my '16 GT base 6M! No issues at all so far. It just keeps getting better and better as it finishes its break-in.

Same issues are happening on the 16's. But you will hear about it more on the forum vs the majority of owners.

Paint is like his with every car. Its the damn EPA. Alignment on panels happens. I had my trunk easily fixed. Im sure if i had more issues i could get them aligned. The manual transmission is noisy (typical of this transmission) but overall no issues. I love this car. It looks amazing. Rides great and handles great out of the box. Its fast!!! It gets so many looks and compliments. I love it and wouldnt have done anything different ony decision. Its also a mass produced car. Its gonna have its issues. Some people juat cant grasp that. Sometimes people get there issues resolved sometimes they dont. Sadly thats the nature of the beast in the auto industry.
