I think you should be able to make close to 500 whp with all of the mods included above including cams plus Oxygenated E85 like FTW E85. The fastest NA 11-14 cars picked up 20 whp over E85 with the FTW fuel.

Hurricane, I'm going for the same thing. I'm hoping to hit the 500 mark, NA... but I'm not sure if I will be able to. No E85 out this way.

It wont happen without premium fuel for sure. If you aren't racing the car you probably wont miss the difference between 460 and 500 whp, But youll need the fuel to make the most out of an NA set up.

The shop I used to go to built a car putting down 525 N/A with he following
Full exhaust
One piece driveshaft
Ported heads
Ported boss 302 manifold
Custom ground cams
Cold air intake
Larger injectors not sure of size
A rather aggressive tune
Lighter wheels
Admittedly some of that power came just by reducing parasitic losses with the wheels and driveshaft.

That's badass but just for what it's worth, reducing weight/parasitic loss does not increase power. Then engine has no idea what wheels or driveshaft is on the car

It does not increase power from the engine but since most of us dyno our cars with the engine still in them, it will increase the power at the wheels, which is what the OP is looking for.

I agree. We do have 93 here, which is at least something... but E85 feels necessary. The car will be doing road courses, so the extra little bit would be nice.

A drive shaft will not change the horsepower. The tranny and rear end is really the only/biggest parasitic loss of HP.

the biggest issue is 500whp on one dyno is totally different on other dynos. From what i understand the air flows well with these motors so are heads and cams really worth it at 4-5k for a hardly noticeable increase in power? especially considering for another couple grand i can go FI and have a hugely noticeable increase in power? if you're going NA id do the bolts ons and be done, no sense in being concerned with what a dyno tells you. just my .02

*Sigh* I know. :( I guess it was just one of those things where you want to pursue it because of the challenge it offers. Based on the replies here and lack of other info I could find on it, if I COULD make it happen, I'd probably be the first 500HP N/A Coyote S550 around, at least on M6G.com anyway.

Stop being all logical! I wanted things to be difficult, damn it!

Considering I could score a ProCharger tuner kit for a decent bit under $6k, that certainly does sound like the elevator to easy HP gains. My N/A route was more like taking the stairs after the elevator broke down.

$1600 - Kooks long-tube headers w/cats
$1500 - GT350 intake manifold w/87mm throttle body
$800 - Camshaft set
$300 - Ford Racing injector set
----------
$4200 total, and still no guarantee of 500whp. Yeah, supercharger definitely sounds like the better option if I really am set on more power.
TeamJDM has the intake manifold and throttle body combo for $1075 Not $1500 bro

Bro, just quoting a price that I could easily find online. (Steeda.com)

Besides, I already abandoned this idea a day or two ago. I'm not going to port out everything or swap cams, use E85 or 110 octane, sprinkle my car with pixie dust or enlist the help of a witch doctor, etc. just to say I cracked a number that could vary from Dyno-to-Dyno anyway. If I want to go extreme, I'll just get a ProCharger or a Whipple and call it a day.

Yes of course we all Dyno our cars with the engine still in it haha but I promise you lighter wheels and driveshaft will not add "rwhp" either. Sometimes people get increased acceleration and increases horsepower mixed up, two completely separate things

Most if not all of the advertised HP increase numbers are BS. Vendors selling smoke and dreams. All of those parts together might yield 1/4 - 1/2 the HP claims.

BTW - a friend of mine just purchased a GT350 and to get the Ford claimed stock HP, they had to run 98 octane. This is on his brand new dyno.

From what I have seen the GT350 makes the claimed HP... you have to remember bhp is different then dyno rwhp...

I've only been living in NC for a few months now. I didn't know about the crazy Speed Laws. I don't usually speed other than the usual 10 mph on the highway (i85) but 70 is usually fine on i77. I don't race my mustang and I'm 100% more about looks than speed lol. I'd replace the entire suspension if it could find sexy looking red anodized aluminum components lmao. Idgaf about handling and would either want it to be as close to stock as possible or not radically different than stock.

This!
HP numbers from the manufacturers are flywheel HP numbers. You won't see that on a chassis dyno due to loss through the drivetrain.
