Pretty sure you guys are reading the new R packaging incorrectly.

From the way I read it, it looks like the navigation and dual climate setup is gone. It sounds like the R starts off bare bones like '15/'16, sans a/c and radio and the only package, "Electronics Package" will add the basic radio and a/c package that comes standard on the GT350.

This is really what I want clarity on. I don't want Nav in my R, but I have to have A/C. I'd gladly take a base radio over Nav.

In fact, I'd seriously consider yanking the Nav and speakers in my '16 R.

Other than a possible couple hundred bucks of saving for Ford I see no reason to have the standard radio and not the have the Nav. Weight for both on the R would equal out and if your paying $65K, I dont think a base radio would be the only option in your halo car.

I do not think that is true. I think all 350 versions get AC in MY17. The base R, as sold in MY15/16 does not exist in MY17.

What leads you to believe this?
I read it that was as well. The R electronics package no longer calls out adding A/C, which leads me to believe all models will come with A/C. Adding the electronics package to the R then gives you a basic radio and other tid bits

If I wasn't building a house ATM, I would have an easier time making a decision...and not going into debt, Haha.

...not to mention I'm a real cheap ass.
Exactly the same here. My timing is not so hot. Lol.

I think a lot of the tech outselling is from dealer orders without buyers. Every one here has the the tech aside from one. I think dealers assume over 40k everyone wants leather and nav. I for one have zero desire for either.
This! Look at all the Tech packages that were ordered by dealers that don't know crap. They only think people will want the creature features like on GT models. They had no clue that this is in essence a track car and people would want track related features and not comfort features.

Sorry if these have been asked, but no time to read 22 pages.

If I order '17 base with electronics pkg, will I get the Recaro seats along with all the "track package" that is becoming standard?? Those seats seem like a must have. How about ordering the rear seat delete, is that still an option or is that "R" only?

Thanks!
