what are your IAT's with the blower?My car runs at 190 driving around and 199 if I am ripping on it with the blower.
When you say 'my car', what radiator, thermostat, rad fans, IC, IC fans, etc are you running?My car runs at 190 driving around and 199 if I am ripping on it with the blower.
You will definitely see a drop in temps with that.When you say 'my car', what radiator, thermostat, rad fans, IC, IC fans, etc are you running?
I am seeing peak 225F CHT after several highway pulls then exiting and getting caught at several lights. Thinking about completely removing the thermostat with that kinda peak as an unseated head gasket would be sooooo painful.
Setup is Whipple with Whipple 160F marked Motorad (junk?) thermostat.
Highway cruising is 200F ish.
Non PP radiator.
Ordered 03/08
Reische 170 from =>LETHAL<=
and
PP rad from =>LEVITOWN<= thanks LEVITOWN!
So if I am hoping this combo will help with heat.
Airflow out from under hood is pitiful. Need massive banks of slots or openings immediately after rad to get airflow up.
What stat?I have a 2016 GT PP car and I have seen CHT temps as high as 227 sitting in traffic. As stated befor in this thread it really doesn't matter what the outside temp is. During normal driving CTH is around 200-205... Hardly ever under 200. The car is stock 6MT with a catback exhaust only. Any recommendations to lower? Should I check for a bubble?
If you haven't messed with your car why would you have a bubble, mine is stock no tune nothing, GT pp CHT always around 200, must be normal tempI have a 2016 GT PP car and I have seen CHT temps as high as 227 sitting in traffic. Yea I was thinking the same thing until I started reading posts on here and seeing that most guys are not experiencing cht temps as high as mine. I'm not that worried about it since it is stock but I do plan on making some mods soon so I guess I'll just keep an eye on the before and after temps. Thanks for the quick replies!!If you haven't messed with your car why would you have a bubble, mine is stock no tune nothing, GT pp CHT always around 200, must be normal temp
