Hey man, whatever ya want. You posted in a forum and asked for questions. I questioned your conclusions and you got offended. Sounds like the issue is with you, not with me.

Good day.

(doesnt have to be Evolvd)Go and buy your own t-stat and see if you can repeat kris5597's results. There you go repeat-ability. I can say my spark timing followed what the tune said it should but the logs happened quite some time ago and I don't have them any more for exact numbers. No I am not going to swap my stock one back in as I really don't care that much to provide data that other people wont read or understand. Then the data will never be good enough. For me when the numbers in the tune say one thing and they correlate in the logs that's proof enough that we are not experimenting but actually following how ford set the stock tune up. 1+1 = 2 how many times does that need to be repeated before you believe it.

I appreciate the comments guys. Monitoring CHTs and ECTs today and still seeing good numbers. Seeing a nice drop in temperatures 10-15 degrees, and consistently. CHT has yet to go above 192 today so far. I'll continue to monitor ignition advance. Once I increase ethanol content, I will do another 3rd pull to see what the results show.

I never said I didn't believe him lol...I simply stated his results are inconclusive due to the variables. But alas, some folks have a stick so far up their ass they can't take any kind of criticism without resorting to schoolyard name-calling.

LOL enjoy the snide remarks, it's the recourse of a small mind.

And here we go. I like how you make a comment on name-calling... seems as if the stick has found its way up somewhere else...

When I started the thread I announced the variables to be noted by the reader, to take that information into account when reviewing. As stated, the variables were against the lower temperature thermostat. It is quite possible that if the weather and fuel used were the same and those variables were eliminated, the results could have shown an even larger difference created from the lower temperature thermostat. Unfortunately, I was not able to provide this back to back comparison. I am sorry if this has rattled you up to solely devote your time to my thread and my OP. Thank you for your opinion on the matter, and for insulting me. My apologies for sending any insults your way as well. You don't come across as a very nice person, but most forum instigators aren't anyways.

I hope what little bit of valid information, if any at all, is of some use to someone. It is only a thermostat...

Kris

I installed the 170 thermostat last week. Last Friday I took my car to the track. Even sitting in the staging lanes my CHT was never an issue and stayed under 200 where before it would be 210-215 or higher. Now if I could only solve my IAT temp issues as easily.
