You still want to wrap your car?
I'm seriously considering it. I've read that wraps don't provide the same protection as PPF but that SOME wraps are thicker than others and can provide a little protection. I'm wondering if anyone has ever PPF'd the front leading edges and then wrapped over that?

Here's the color that I'm pretty strongly considering.

we just finished a 2nd GT350 Red with black stripes complete car no problem.
Do you put the film over the stripes? My biggest concern would if in ~10yrs you want to replace the film and it lifts the stripes up with it

You want to take a vacation to Florida and wrap it for me? ;)
One of the #1 PPF wrap companies in the US(Premier Protective Films) started out doing cross country runs because of their skill and demand. They now have two huge facilities, one in North and one in South California.

Just an idea derand, we could all buy film from you, and you could take a trip down here and we would have a place where you can set up(I.e. garage)

Lumar has a clear tint series called Air. They offer it in 80% and one other slightly darker. I put that on my windshield and it seems to help reduce the heat. It's got a very slight blue tint to it but otherwise no one, not even cops will notice it.

Good to know! That's what I'm after for Florida. Keep the heat out - I don't car as much about not being able to see in.

I don't know much about these products. I want a clear wrap just for the front end of my car.

About how much would that be?

Thanks for any info.

EDIT: Does it cling tightly at the edges of the OTT stripe, or is there an small air gap?

Interesting that much of the discussion on that website is about UV rejection. Its been along time since college physics, but I thought all glass rejects UV. Am I remembering that right?

I also remember eyeglass companies trying to sell me UV coatings on glass lenses. Didn't buy it then either. (Ditched all that with LASIK)

No, all glass does not reject ultraviolet light. Look at people drove trucks for a living...the left sides of their faces aged much faster than the right.

I appreciate the offer. I'm down in the Tampa Bay area so it's a little bit of a hike. I'll let you know if I'm coming through there sometime, though! :headbang:
