Raxiom Unit in the Works?

Well I'm sub'd ! I'd like to see this Raxiom unit. If it works with Sync, has ability for a amp, sub, Sat radio, and let's us use our own wallpaper- well I'd definitely consider it

Never heard of Raxiom before this thread. Are they known for world class stereo components?

As far as the 10+ mustang is concerned, Raxiom is more of a solution to a specific problem than it is a premier sound system. They are providing an upgrade option that few other companies are concerned about.

No, the tomtop unit still uses all the Sync stuff. We want something that ditches Sync entirely!

Tomtop is purely a fancier screen/interface, but still connected to all the garbage sync stuff behind it. Just like the premium head units, looks pretty, still functions like shit.

If Raxiom doesn't release something soon that replaces sync entirely, then I'm just gonna suck it up and stick with what I have now. No point in spending $300 just to polish a turd.

FWIW, I paid I think $220 for the TomTop unit. Mine *does* have the clock bug and a couple other issues (sometimes it doesn't display Bluetooth info even though it plays fine, and there's no way to enable the backup camera delay, etc.).

However, the bigger screen is a vast improvement over the button-littered, postage-stamp-sized base-model screen and that alone is worth the price of admission.

And it also has navigation. I don't ever use it, but people who have are very happy with it. Also, some people are buying other hardware to go with it so you can do screen mirroring from your cell phone.

I understand why Sync gets hate, but I don't understand the hate for the Tomtop unit. Every single person who has it, likes it much, much better over the stock base setup.

The post I was replying to said they wanted wheel controls, navigation, larger screen. All accomplished for a very inexpensive price with the Tomtop.

If this Raxiom comes in at $700 and does all the same functions as the Tomptop without using Sync, I hardly doubt it will be that much better than sync to justify more than double the cost. Just my 2 cents. I was prepared to spend $1,200 on a replacement infotainment, but the Tomtop came out for $300 and for what it is, great deal.

If the Raxiom comes in at $500 price range, and is far superior and ditches sync, I might upgrade.
