The 2015 Mustang EcoBoost was an exciting platform when it first debuted for the 2015 model year. Since then, COBB has come a long way in the research and development process. Initial support started with a tune using the Accessport. This introduced awesome custom features such as Launch Control and 5-Way Map Switching along with providing significant power gains over the factory calibration. Unfortunately the factory components just weren't cutting it for additional power gains. Factory components are now a thing of the past! Today, we're excited to announce the release of our full Stage 2 and 3 Power Packages that maximize the potential for your Mustang EcoBoost! Let's take a look at each COBB Power Package available for the Mustang EcoBoost.

STAGE 1 POWER PACKAGE

The Stage 1 Power Package combines the world’s best selling, most flexible ECU upgrade solution along with a high flow intake panel filter. The Accessport and panel filter make for the easiest of installs which can be done in minutes with basic hand tools. Once the filter is in place, simply flash the Stage 1 map for your octane fuel and be on your way! The Stage 1 Off The Shelf map calibration offers decent gains and enables COBB Custom Features like 5 way map switching, Launch Control, and Flat Foot Shifting.

Hardware Requirements: Stage 1
Intake Requirements: Stock airbox with stock/COBB air filter, or COBB intake system
Exhaust requirements: Stock exhaust, or COBB catback exhaust system

STAGE 2 POWER PACKAGE

The Stage 2 Power Package for the Mustang EcoBoost is the best second level for the Ecoboost powered vehicle. During exhaustive testing, the COBB engineers found that heat, not necessarily airflow, was the biggest restriction to power on the platform. As such, they married a larger COBB Front Mount Intercooler to our 3″ mandrel bent aluminum intake kit. This setup cools temps as much as 100 degrees and produces significant power. Everything is tuned right out of the box with the Accessport and Stage 2 Off the Shelf maps!

Hardware Requirements: Stage 2
Intake Requirements: A COBB intake system and COBB front mount intercooler system
Exhaust requirements: Stock exhaust, or COBB cat-back exhaust system

STAGE 3 POWER PACKAGE

The Stage 3 Power Package is the most comprehensive upgrade available for your Mustang EcoBoost. In addition to the COBB FMIC and Intake from the Stage 2 Package, it also includes the full COBB Turboback Exhaust. The turboback exhaust includes the COBB 3″ Downpipe and mates to the COBB 3″ Cat-Back creating a full 3″ exhaust from the EcoBoost’s turbocharger all the way through the COBB stamped mufflers. The complete package keeps air cool providing consistent power delivery and reduces back pressure allowing more power to be made. This all works with the Accessport Stage 3 Off The Shelf Map!

Hardware Requirements: Stage 3
Intake Requirements: A COBB intake system and COBB front mount intercooler system
Exhaust requirements: A COBB turboback exhaust system (downpipe + catback)

Thanks for posting. Will the Stage 3 package have any problems passing smog testing in California? I didn't see anything mentioned on the cobb website limiting it to off-road use only.

It is catted so it's still legal in most states but I'm not aware of any aftermarket downpipe that will pass smog in California. Sorry for the bad news.

Sounds awesome!

Maybe this is a dumb question: does the Stage 3 exhaust replace the factory cat after the DP?
From the photo it appears to replace the entire exhaust - turbo to tips. Just thinking about Massachusetts inspection here.

Sorry another CA question. Are you planning on getting Stage 2 CARB certified like you did with the Focus ST stage 2 kit?

Just go onto the Cobb website, create an account, go to main page, select your vehicle, click on the maps, click on the stage package, check out in cart (free), view/click order number, download map, open up accessport manager on your computer, import map you downlaoded, click on map and upload to accessport, eject accessport, plug into car and load map. Done.

I don't think there is a cat after the downpipe is there? You mean the resonator??

ECM where you just messing with him on how to get the stage 2? Just checking, didn't want to ruin your prank. Oh and if your not joking, you didn't have to go through all that. The Accessport manager wil pick up any firmware updates or upgrade packages on its own once plugged into the computer and Accessport manager.
