That bolt everyone bitches about, not nearly as bad as i thought to actually get the thing out.
Thats a plus. Install is going smooth right now

Ok. Everything has been going just fine and dandy until this god damn shifter boot...
It keeps popping off the base of the shifter as im trying to lower it and install the thing to the car...
GRRR
Rant over, back to work

George! if you're reading this!!! PLEASE tell whoever tries to do the install to re-mount the transmission crossmember before trying to mess with the shifter boot to align it properly...
I tried like 3 times before I finally thought to myself why it wouldnt work and why yours looked so flush.
Putting the boot on outside the car. Awesome... Having to re-set the boot with everything tightened down and lock-tited. Awful... That took the brunt of the install and was the biggest headache.
Anyways, heres a few pics of the install. Everything was very simple other than that damn boot. But it wouldn't of been bad if I raised the tranny back to where its supposed to be.

Wont be test driving it tonight. Gotta get started on dinner. I'll be sure to give a review of the fluid swap+mgw :)

Yes in the install video, after he installs the shifter arms to the tranny he reinstalls the transmission mount before putting the shifter in from the top

I'm wondering on the video, why check out the 1-2 adjustment before final tightening under the car ?
Well, I'm guessing if the pin for the reverse lockout is set wrong you'll hit a gate and it won't get into gear. I'm sure George will chime in

I did not explain my meaning very well, the sequence is what I do not understand. I figured you would adjust the pin ,if needed, after everything had been tightened under the car.

Maybe I just need to watch the video again, I thought I remembered that you adjusted the pin from the top with everything in place,

I'm 90% sure the reasoning behind that is so you dont have to put the boot back on while the shifter is installed on the car

REVIEW: First impression when I got in the vehicle, ok the shifter is a bit lower. I go to move it into first and wow, shes tight ;) I start the car, no noticeable nvh just sitting. I go to shift into first to pull out of the driveway and again, a nice tight positive feel. Driving up the street I notice my cold shift notchiness is no longer there. Amsoil seems great so far. I waited for the temps to get up to normal and I started playing around. The throw is obviously considerably shorter. Gear changes are very precise now. Rowing the gears is really now a lot more pleasurable. There is however slight nvh with your hand on the shifter with the radio off you cab hear it. Turn the radio on and you have no idea it's there, at LOW volume. TY mgw, no more slamming into a gate trying to get it into gear. I now feel confident about power shifting the car and not worrying about getting locked out

I wish I had swapped the Trans fluid while I was down there. What made you pick Amsoil over Royal Purple?

I never really believed any hype about Royal Purple. Amsoil has always been a top brand in my eyes, so I stuck with it

trying to ram the shifter in when youre getting locked out can damage components too. New shifter is indeed a durability upgrade for those who want to drive harder
