Lol we sure do. Again, welcome to the Whipple family :)
Right on buddy, can't wait to rip it in the spring. Really overal I'm impressed with the quality of the kit and the way it's package. And I've had 3 Kenne bell kits and 2 vortechs on my 92 coupe over the years. I also love fabrication and welding alum and trying new stuff. My biggest reason for opening this thread was to clear up maybe my confusion if any in which I had in regards the the IMRC connection and pump wiring, but also to help others who are doing a home instal. I do believe there are a couple areas that could be cleaned up and or updated in the instal guide.

My 92 coupe 363 with my custom made 2.8L Kenne Bell with A2A setup.

That's good to hear someone with your different experiences appreciating the quality of this kit and I do agree with you there are definitely some updates that could help the average end user understand it better.

Thankfully there are forums like his one to help others out [emoji106]

So how did you figure which plug was the passenger side. It's kind of confusing because both the blue IMRC connectors originate from the drivers side of the harness and then the split off from that. One of plugs is 1" longer, that's the one I used as I thought it could stretch further over to the passenger side IMRC plugs on the back of the factory manifold.
When I disconnected them from their respective sides of the intake manifold, I pushed them back towards their respective sides and tucked them next to the firewall so it was easier to see which was which when I removed the intake manifold. I read the manual over and over again for like two weeks before installing, so I knew to expect it.

I can see why they would want to do what they did...they claimed the supplied the fuel line disconnect tool in the manual (I didn't have one in my kit, but I already had one anyway) for the old way...the new way, you don't need it...saves them some money. The hose is probably cheaper to make the new way, too. I can understand your frustration though...it's already busy on that side.

I ordered a couple tools I didn't have from amazon, and had to make one trip to Home Depot :)

I agree guys and I don't want people to get the idea that I think these kits are needing to include the tools we all may be lacking. It's a well thought out kit and doesn't require any special tools or skills or grinding and hacking. Aside from torque wrenches lb/in and ft/lb it's basic tools needed in my book. The issue of the manifold bolts and the hard to acces middle bolt under the fuel rail is a minor issue. More explanation needed as to how to get to it and what tool to use. I thought it wouldn't cost much to include a little ball end 5mm. Many many products sold needing assembly supply an Allen key in every kit, no big deal. Either way just makes it easier for the end user not a deal breaker. I got er done my way:eyebulge:

Glad you're getting your car squared away. I'm kind of nervous about possible support from KB at the moment. It's kind of hard enough to get ahold of the guy to ask questions before I purchase the kit. But I will give him the benefit of the doubt because hes transitioning shops.

I love the Kenne bell, makes great power and I even like the look of the install. I've had 3 Kb's over the years, but whipple stole me away this time and so far I'm happy with the kit. Problem is I wont be ripping it up until middle April here, too much snow cold and road salt and dirt on the roads.

I'm wondering how many who did there installs used o ring seal grease on the green manifold port o rings and the large supercharger to manifold O ring. The manual doesn't mention to use any there only on the injectors and throttle body seal. I already installed the manifold without grease on the port seal. Whipple tech says you can go either way.

So did you lube the manifold and supercharger seals or just inj. and TB?

It's funny I don't have the dough to have a whipple but reading through the instruction I was like wouldn't some grease on the o-rings better to make the seal also keeping them from falling out of the groves when upside down??

The large throttle body O ring is greased to hold it in place because it just sits in the groove vertically, so the grease holds it there while you attach the throttle body. The manifold however has green rubber O rings that actually are friction fit into a deep groove and there is really no chance they will fall out or come out of position. Also the large O ring on top of the manifold that seals the supercharger is set tight into its groove and won't fall out. Grease in those location is only by preference of the installer. So its not needed.

I just hate to second guess these things and wish whipple would include specifics here as well.

I think having grease is a good thing keeping everything soft and sealed up properly.

I checked the blue IMRC plug wire colors today and the yellow/green with grey stripe plug which is the one the manual says to plug the fan/pump harness in to, and it's the shorter of the 2 plugs. The picture shown on my first post shows I had it in the wrong one the longer of the 2, so I switched it today.
