Honda beats a 5.0?

I own a 2004 Accord V6 6speed manual Accord 2 door as a winter vehicle. With all seasons or snow tires, i'm quite certain my Honda Accord is quicker 0-60 than my 16 Mustang GT PP with its oem tires in the winter.

My Mustang gets very little traction below 50 degrees.

The Accord is no muscle car, but it's definetly a lot quicker than most everyone thinks.

As far as JD Power, you need to look at the initial quality study. That's based on TGW in the first 90 days of ownership. Ford, GM, and Ram all rank higher than Acura and Honda:

Fiat is at the bottom, unfortunately that's not really a surprise.

It's impossible to have long term dependability data for 2015 models; they haven't been out long enough. The data in the 2015 study is from 2012.

All the mis-aligned panels, interior rattles, drive-line vibration issues, non-functional cooled seats, etc all reported here on this chat board my members hopefully don't get into those JD Power quality studies. ;)

Toyota/Lexus have been at the top for a long time, but Honda hasn't been far behind IMO, especially when it comes to their 4cyl engines.

And outside of automobiles Honda is also legendary in other applications such as power equipment, motorcycles, ATV's. In fact I have a 1986 Honda ATC 250R in my garage. Was a trike I grew up with. Best 3-wheeler ever made!

Why? I love toyotas trucks and suvs. My wife has had multiple 4runners and currently in a new highlander. If i didnt love my sti's as dailys so much id drive a 4runner trail with the the trd off road wheels or just go full in trd pro. I also loved my 1300whp mkiv supra that i had back in the earlier 2000s. Doesnt help that i was a toyota master tech for a long time before going to subaru then ford and currently bmw. Mustangs are my fun weekend warriors. I must have something for daily duty.

I dont think honda builds a bad engine. Its everything around it im not a fan of these days. If i was looking a sport bike id be looking at a honda Cbr but id also be looking at the Ninja. While i like the r1 and r6 id rather have the Ninja or Cbr.

I had a CBR600, which I loved. Such a great bike. But I sold it and gave up on the street bike thing because I was too uncomfortable with all the traffic, crazy drivers and shitty roads around here. Hearing all the horror stories didn't help. Got to a point it was more about fear then having fun.

Thats the main reason i have gotten a bike. Plus i dont like how comfortable id eventually get to race that bike in a straight line like it owes me money. I have a healthy sense of fear and respect for bikes. :lol:

lol I know exactly what you mean. For me, I just have too much of a sense of self-preservation to continue being a "biker" but I am glad I tried it and got it out of my system. There's some good memories there too...a few times I took it out late at night on an open road...fantastic feeling of freedom and such a rush.

If you think of a car as an appliance like a refrigerator and don't mind throwing away extra money they are ok. But if you want a fun car or want good value for your money - not the best choice - or even a good choice.

Pretty much all non force inducted 4 cylinders have struggle. Fail to see your point. They are for economy, clearly. I already said im not a fan of the quality of everything around the engine. That includes, ac, alternator, electronics and things of that type of nature. I wouldn't by anymore hondas. I was done with them after the integra died. You can sleep easy tonight man.
