I got the seamless 3gal tank, was a little to tall for the spare tire well, so I framed out the trunk a bit, and now it's got plenty of space, and my all weather mat hides it all nicely.

If you can install springs, you can install Airlift IMO. It's not difficult, just time consuming. I opted to install all the components in my spare tire well so I retained full trunk space.

Loving these trunk setups you guys - all so clean and look great!

Anyone with the air ride that uses their car as a daily driver? I usually do about 2500/mi a month and would like to do air ride but I'm a little nervous about the durability. I've had bagged trucks and it seemed like they needed a little more regular maintenance than I preferred. I did have a Charger with the airlift kit on it a few years back and I remember it never gave me any problems but I didn't have it long enough to push it.

ib2loud - I used to daily my vehicle on air with Air Lift struts and AccuAir management for two years, about 3,000 miles/month. I took a fair amount of time during and after the installation double checking and triple checking things like connections, where the lines were run and what was nearby, etc. If you take your time and use care during the installation, you should find that bags are just as reliable as coilovers. The only maintenance that I ever have to do on my car is empty the water trap/tank drain valve once every month or two, or just whenever I think about it, which takes about 2-5 minutes at most.

Sprayed the spare tire space with 3M sound dampener and then mounted the tank. I used rubber fender washers underneath the stainless steel washers and fasteners. I also have a rubber washer between the tank base and floor of the Mustang. I'm finishing the mounting board now and it will utilize the factory "hold down" tire bracket along with using sound dampened support legs to minimize vibrations from the OB2 compressor. My nuclear submarine background in full effect ;-)

Good idea! But does the compressor make a lot of noise to really require the sound dampening?

I would have dampened it anyways. Minimizes road noise considerably. I have a pretty big compressor compared to most air systems (Air Zenith OB2) and I'm just taking a few extra steps to help minimize noise. :cheers:

This weather has hindered my progress....too damn cold. Got the final panel fitment done. I'm running all the power/wiring from underneath the panel so everything looks tucked. Four of the air lines will be underneath the panel as well. I used the spare tire mounting bracket to hold everything in place. It's pretty solid.
