No that is not a dumb question...this may be a dumb question, are you looking to use the mirrored screen on the tom top as a touch screen to control the phone, or is it just going to be a display?

Ideally I would like to control the phone through the Tomtop touch screen, but I dont know if that is even possible. If it is I would love for someone to explain how here in this thread.
If I can only mirror the screen with no touch function that is better than nothing.
Did this ever work?Mirror is mirror. You will have a duplicated screen but you can not control/navigation you phone without touching on your phone's display. That being said, i ordered an "hdmi to RCA " converter and it will be delivered tomorrow so i can test phone mirror feature on this unit (I tested a bluray player and this unit works perfectly as your TV.) If it works, then i made a good $300 investment .
