I think I just got real lucky on a new Mach 1

Boring medical issues just came up that dictate I quickly needed to trade my new Tremec M1 for an A10. Not that I had any trouble with it; I loved it. But these issues of mine may mean my wife will have to come “rescue” me and she cannot drive a manual no way, no how. So I found exactly what I wanted coming in about 80 miles away and called right then. Believe it or not they were taking it off the carrier while I was talking to the salesman on the phone on Wednesday. I bought it over the phone right then and there and picked it up yesterday. It’s pretty much identical to my 22 trade in except color and of course it’s a 23. Hafta say I got a pretty decent deal too.

I like it a lot. A whole lot. I think it’s a really pretty car. Actually if I were custom ordering I’d probably have gone with GBM anyway. I wouldn’t have popped for the upgrade wheels but they’re OK.

I don’t hate the S650 but personally I much prefer the S550. I’ve always thought the S550 is one of the prettiest GT cars ever penned, and in GBM you talk about retro looking-man!

Congrats. Very nice. I’m glad you got what you were looking for. I had to get those wheels because I think they look way better than the standard. They good on that color too.

Nice!!! Glad you could do the swap. I have the 6 speed and sometimes I do realize no one else (wife) can drive it either. I d like to hear your opinion on how it feels different with the auto.

Congrats, awesome that you were able to find one so close! And GBM is an absolutely beautiful color.

nice. glad it all worked out for you, and you didn't take a bath on the deal.
I like the wheels, my HHP has the same style.
Have the a10 fluid level checked warm, they seem to show up a few quarts low from the factory and shift harshly till the fluid level is corrected.

Awesome Mach! I feel you on those wheels. Ford really beat us to death with the whole Y spoke wheel craze. The good news is that you can buy the base wheels from Ford Performance for about 1200. I think the base wheels have a more classic design.

Cerbo, it had a blue window sticker so I assume it was a dealer stock order. I think I was just in the right place at the right time.

To me, the difference in feel would have to be judged individually. The manual is more fun for sure but the auto is faster in a straight line. I’ve been driving manuals so long I don’t have to really think about what I’m doing but the auto is smooth and it’s fun to listen to it go through the gears. I don’t feel like it’s really much of a sacrifice.

Yeah I was surprised at how the deal worked out. If you add up the newer year model ($5-6K), the sales tax savings on the trade amount (~$4K) plus the difference in options (~$3K) it came pretty close to just tossing keys.
