So I added some 20mm spacers to the rear of the car. Non-pp wheels, but I do have aftermarket wheels, but the offset specs ect are relatively identical to standard GT 19's

The spacers did say they are designed to work with standard and aftermarket rims on my Mustang (but I never truly trust that)

At first it seemed like a nice flush fit. However it actually stuck the tires outside The wheel well a little too far for my liking (definitely not flush very much sticking out). So I took them off. Then noticed this

The lugs clearly digging into to the wheel😂

So no spacers for me, I could goto 25, but that would push them out way to far.

Either the wheel specs are not totally accurate or the spacers specs are not totally accurate.

Screw it just ordered wider wheels for the rear.

I have never used or trust them, yes just get the right offset wheels and proper tires and no worries.

Slip on spacers....
I know I know lol. But what can I say. Easy enough to try easy enough to un-try.

I have used them once before on a different s550, and they worked out decently enough then.

New rear wheels should arrive before Christmas thankfully.

the best fit bolt on spacers for OEM wheels is 23mm.

I put 20mm spacers on the rear of my pp1 last week and they seemed to fit fine but this is probably happening to me too. Felt weird when tightening the lugs but drives normally. I'll grind a little off if I have to rather than get larger spacers. I think 20mm looks really nice, any more would get me monster truck fitment at stock pp1 height.

Less wheel = lighter wheel = racecar

I run 20mm on all corners perfect w PP wheels.

When I had Steeda install the rears I brought 1" and they swapped em out for 20mm told me it was the better size. Been running this setup 5+ years no issues

*Update

My 20mm spacers required cutting/grinding for the PP1 wheels, you can see where the end of the stock studs dug into the pockets and made the circle impressions you see in this image. These are ebay spacers that I bought from another forum member who ran them with aftermarket wheels. No idea what brand they were originally but the spacers themselves seemed fine.

The perfect suze for the rear is a 23mm. Clears the lug studs and still keeps the tires off the quarter lip if you are runing oem rims

wowsa, we used to shave calipers back in the VR4 days for better wheels…not that I’d do THAT again, but 10 minutes with a die grinder and you're back in the biz with change in your pocket 😉
