2016 Tech, and even my 12 yr old daughter commented on how bad the stereo is.
I don't want to go crazy with stuff, but who makes a good option to replace all the speakers, a subwoofer in the back and a amp? I want to keep the head unit.
Thanks in advance

Can only recommend the sub: http://www.jlaudio.com/car-audio-stealthbox-ford-mustang-coupe-15-up

disneyfun1 had it installed in his GT350, but sold the car. I did have a stealthbox installed in one of my previous cars, and worked great. Handled much more than what it was rated for(500rms, but amp was putting out 700+rms), and for 5 years+, still went strong when I sold it.

Pricey, but it'll save you trunk space.

+1 for the Stealthbox. I've had 3-4 of them over the years. Quality sound, installation and build. Pricey indeed, but worth it... and saves the trunk space.

They deign their stealthboxes to secure using existing/factory holes. Installation is very quick and simple. I don't have one in my GT350, but did in E46 M3's, SN95 Mustangs and various VW's too. All have been similar and easy. Well worth the higher cost. Sound is solid and so is the mounting.

Whats so bad about it? Doesnt seem to bad to me but im not a audiophile.
The system doesn't feel crisp...hard to explain..distorts easily as the volume increases...

I had a Bazooka sub from a previous car that I put in my '16 Tech. I used a rubber bungee in the sub area and some cardboard to keep it from putting pressure on the wires when I accelerate. It is removable and sounds pretty good. It has a 8" woofer with built in 100W amp, which is enough for me as I am just looking for solid bass. I also replaced the rear deck speakers with JBL GX602. This sounds much better than stock and did not cost much.

You're going to find mounting aftermarket speakers is a lot of work. The factory speakers do not match any of the standard mounting patterns or conditions.
