Stereo failure

Hey guys so just recently my stereo has been giving me grief and need some ideas on how to fix it...if I click on the audio off button nothing happens...stereo sometimes plays sometimes doesn’t...

uhhh ok now I took it for a drive and its working again....Seems to be intermittent....anyone else experience this?

Have you checked for any DTCs?

I remember a few time when I would up plug my phone from the system it would go wonky and freeze up. After I updated the Sync version it cleared up.

Do a full Sync reset from the menu... it should help.

ill check for DTC's Tomorrow....I just did the sync update like 3 days ago and installed the USB hub in my glove box to have apple car play so maybe something is still working through the bugs

I have this problem with mine and unfortunately it is very sporadic. Ford was absolutely no help when I took it in because it wasn't doing it at the time so they said that it couldn't be diagnosed. The f150 guy's have had the same issue. If you pop a CD in and eject it you will get the stereo back but you wont be able to change the station.

Over the last ~2 weeks I have had similiar issues with Android Auto and the Sync 3 Nav screen. Appaears to be random but I am sometimes just presented with a black screen when trying to access Android Auto or Sync 3 nav.

1. Changing the USB port
2. Upgrading the Sync to the latest version for apple car play
3. Replacing my antenna with the 2018 model

One of those 3 things fixed it but I am not sure which as I did them all almost the same day.

I have the basic sync, small screen, and I never had an issue.. upgraded a while back to latest version.

Ive done two of those 3...I havn't heard anything about replacing my antenna? Maybe I'll do some research into this and see if it works

I changed the antenna mainly because I had some cutting out of my Satellite while listening to music. The new antenna fixed it completely.

Hi guys, my stereo started to freeze and sometimes is very slow when selecting an option, gps sometimes gets a no signal icon, I am already at the latest version sync 3 build 18093, have done the master reset, unplugged the battery for 5 minutes and still the same. Any ideas??
