Well this post has me a little worried. I am about to add an H Pipe to my Roush axle backs.

I agree get loudmouth 2's... I can't believe they aren't well known by the community.

I think if you install loudmouth 2 adding an X-pipe is a must for it to sound close to what the op wants ..will fix his & other roush user noise tolerance issues. Roush must sound great for people at start but then gets old & tired because its to loud I guess.

BTW Did they stopped selling SLPS LMII'S? AM no longer has then for sell.
Will look into this. Funny thing is the Roush AB by itself is tolerable. I think I'm going to look at some touring AB options at this point.

The SLP LM2 is (confirmed by Roush) a Roush AB with packing around the core, where the Roush AB has none.

That packing makes for a huge reduction in rasp and drone vs the Roush. The sound difference is pretty big.

Keep your resonators just in case. Wish I did.

It's your roush axleback.
+1
Yeap.

Buy some Corsa Touring or Borla S-Type mufflers for that X-pipe and you'll have a great sounding exhaust....in my opinion.
Nice V8 tones when driving normal. Aggressive roar when getting on it. Zero drone when cruising.

funny, it made hardly any difference with stock mufflers...
+1. Did anyone mention it might be you AB's. ;)

Actually the FRPP X pipe makes a difference when I get on it which is what I expected.

I DD mine and thought it was too loud at first with an X and Roush AB's, after a little time i have no problem with it. If i need to be really quiet pulling into work or in a neighborhood at night I just keep the rpm's very low.

as said, its the Roush axle backs, they sound great when the rest of the exhaust remains stock, but once you change anything in the system before them, they sound harsh

Roush Axlebacks are already loud, even with the stock resonator. Roush Axlebacks paired with an X-pipe/H-pipe however is the loudest exhaust you can have on this car. Headers or straight pipes is the only thing louder. Personally, this is my daily driver and I love all the noise. I can understand if its too much for some people though.

Why are people removing the stock resonator? By all the posts and info I have seen online the x pipe down I'll not add any HORSE POWER over the stock Resonator

I run a Roush axle-back with an X pipe. It's loud, but I like it. I use my car as a DD. The main issue is cold starts, other than that I can keep it quiet when cruising back home. Just keep it in normal mode and the RPM's low as other's have said. When I get on the gas though it sounds like all hell is breaking loose. :D

The stock resonator is heavy, and on the high end you gain a few hp with an X-pipe.

Add a Borla touring resonator. That will tame it down some and sound awesome.
