Resonators AND x-pipe muffler TOO much?

I just ordered BBK headers to go with my stage 2 Whipple. I have an MBRP street exhaust. I haven’t ordered my mid pipe yet, but I think I’m going Catless. I already ordered 16” Mbrp resonators to kill the rasp and a bit of The volume. Would adding an X-Pipe muffler along and welding the resonators behind it restrict too much air? Can I do both? My goal is to tame the sound from the headers.

the resonators will get rid of the rasp without the need for an additional muffler in the x section. The x muffler along with resonators will lower the volume of the car considerable. When I had the MF tru x on you couldn't tell I had catless Longtubes on the car. It was to quiet. Took off for a steeda H & 12" resonators. Perfect now. Quiet until WOT.

So you have an X pipe and 12" resonator? Which resonator?

my bad its got a Steeda H pipe now with resonators. Had a Steeda x on in 2017 then switched to MF TRU X because with the SLP LM2's it was too much. I've been through a lot of exhaust configs. LOL. I had 2 of the total flow mufflers below put in.

you're welcome. they make a 2.5 " resonator also.

Thanks for the info, my MBRP 16” resonators came yesterday. Sounds like they should be perfect with the catless BBK headers. Will probably get them installed same time as the Whipple.

I have active exhaust with stainless power catless longtubes and magnaflow tru x. Just installed stage 2 whipple. And the sound is absolutely perfect. I’m lovin this set up.
