Wrapping question

Just picked up a Cervinis hood. Anyone actually wrap the entire hood instead of paint.? If so, will the wrap survive the heat from the engine bay?

Plenty of people have wrapped their hood, my buddy had a Plastidip job done on his and had no issues but I can't recall whether he did the underside of just the exterior piece.
