Hello everyone,

Has anyone tried wrapping the various parts that are orange in these pictures?
I was curious how a wrap would hold on the plastic parts

I really love the orange accents on this mustang! :headbang:

Thats a GT350 so those parts will be different on our cars fwiw. But to answer your question I have not tried wrapping that plastic but I did plasti dip some of that material. Its held up surprisingly well after about 6 months.

If only I had the GT350

That's a good idea to plasti dip prior to wrapping. Thanks!

wrapping them wouldn't be bad, just use the pre-stretch method on these so it shrinks back around part and there isn't remaining tension in the vinyl.

There's a guy near me that has hits plastic parts (splitter/side rockers/rear) wrapped in carbon fiber. Other than the shop did a crap job on cutting the edges, it seems to hold on there just fine, and should look good if done be someone that knows what they are doing.

I've been thinking about a wrap, at least partial for my Vert. Would love to see some metallic options, not the flashy chrome but more like stainless surface.

I ordered a sample book from vvivid and I plan on doing a whole wrap in some sort of blue probably. I'm thinking either matte or the brushed steel look or possibly the satin chrome stuff. I'll decide whenever it comes. My car is shadow black now and my god is keeping it clean a nightmare

I've been thinking about wrapping my roof gloss black. I had wrapped my trunk on my STI in carbon fiber and it held up well and looked nice.

Gloss black looks really nice, like paint! Will put up pics as soon as I get good lighting and someone can figure out how to wrap the antenna

Nice, how much did you pay and where did you get it done?

It was kind of a joint effort between friends (kind of a long dumb story, including the fact I actually ended up with satin  but I love gloss, too! :)) but I am still looking for an "all-in-one" kinda expert for future projects. Just met one guy who does wraps and custom lighting (LED, etc).

Got my overlays (roof and hood spears) from Andy, [email protected], based in San Diego. The fit is nice; he used my car to make the templates ;)

Expect to pay, at the very minimum, $150 labor (not including material) for wrapping the roof. I am pleasantly surprised how great the black roof looks in person, no matter the finish. Better than originally anticipated. Changes the look completely, and I like that you can remove it later with ease if you want a change. :D
