I've heard some companies will have lab grown meat produced as early as the end of this year. Would you try lab grown meat? Why or why not?
Only if it was cage free.

Free-range, grass-fed cattle addresses the first two concerns. The third is simply not true. All things in moderation, including moderation. If your cholesterol was too high, I'd bet your genetic predispositions are more of a factor than diet alone.
Diet was the only thing that changed. Exercise never made a difference.

Yeah, I'd try it.
I might only try it once, but I'd try it. 😅

I guess eating red meat is cancerous either way though.
I think the cancer risk is trivial, and we should worry a lot more about what red meat does for our kidneys. My mom the Registered Dietitian has ranted about a few times, but for me the real eye-opener was when a friend donated a kidney. Now he has to take a lot of meds to eat red meat at all. One ounce too much and he has gout for the next few days. 😟

All things in moderation, and "moderation" for red meat is way less than the average American thinks.

Beyond Burger tastes like 90's Burger King, take that for what it's worth.
90s? That was when I liked Burger King.
They went to heck in a handbasket since then. I think it was the early 2000s they switched to those thin patties that dried out on the grill.

It's touted as healthier because it wouldn't have all the chemicals and hormones of traditional meat. I guess eating red meat is cancerous either way though.
I would try it just out of curiosity. People usually associate specific "lab" engineered food with stuff like MREs and space food which do not agree with your taste buds.
Is it supposed to be red meat? Lab grown bacon without the bad stuff from regular bacon sounds really good if it tastes the same.

Processed red meat like bacon, and hot dogs are not good for you. Anyone that says so has no idea what they are talking about. Processed food isn't good for you no matter what it is. The leaner meats like pork tenderloin or sirloin steak are better because they are lower in fats compared to other meats but they still are high in saturated fats which is not good.

Red meat is pretty hard on your stomach, it contains chemicals that damage cells as you digest it which is probably why its associated with colon cancer. They also create free radicals which cause mutations in your cells. This is why eating other foods, as well as ones that contain antioxidants is good for your health. Also people love to eat their steaks very undercooked and super red which might also cause more problems. Personally I never met anyone that eats red meat everyday religiously. I prefer poultry instead because its much easier on the stomach.
