Wow. Sounds like Ford has already gone above and beyond what most dealers/manufacturers would. I know most would replace the engine at least once before offering a new car. Sounds like you're getting great service from Ford on this one!

im glad they stood up and took care of you. im sure many people would hope their situation could have this type of attention. I know you jumped on tables and yelled but they listened. im happy for you.

Thanks for the update on your status. I am sorry the issue could not be diagnosed and addressed. Were you given an idea about how long it would take for your replacement vehicle to be made available?
I don't know exactly how long it will take, I will know Thursday once Ford contacts me and let's me know. I will update this thread once I know more.

Thanks, I was actually really patient with them, I did not lose my temper or anything like that, they were really appreciative of that, but sure did take their sweet ass time giving me updates on the status of the work being done. At the end of the day it all worked out and I should have my new vehicle by the end of the winter, (I live in Canada so driving my Mustang in the snow was never an option).

Update:

Ford has not been able to find a fix for the vehicle, I was informed by my CSM today that they have started the process into getting me a new vehicle.

She has been contacted by the Regional Sales Manager as well as the Sales Manager of the dealership in which my car is currently at to work out some numbers(whatever that means) I was informed that I will have an update on Thursday when she finishes collecting all the necessary information.

On a side note the car has been at the dealership since December 24th, 2014.
I hope you're getting a discount for the inconvenience. X/Y Plan pricing plus a free extended warranty.

I work for an Auto Group which has a Ford store, I initially got a pretty sweet deal with warranty and protection products at dead cost, so I'm not really worried about getting any additional discounts on the car.......I just want a new car. :headbonk:

Same issue with car randomly dying

Ive just read through this forum and I'm glad to see what I need to do or call in order to get this resolved. I'm almost at 30k miles and then my warrenty will be up. I've had the car die on me a total of 3 times while driving. I also saw the warnings of trac cont, hill start, ABS, etc all being unavailable a total of 2 times. I got my car in Nov of 2014. I'll be calling ford and hope that a computer reflash fixes the problem.:paddle:

Blows me away that in this day and age, engineers who built a car can not diagnose a problem with it. I assume MIrko got a new car, which makes me wonder what happened to the old one. Did they drag it back to HQ and work it over? Crush it? Sell it?

It will likely go back to Ford, so they can diagnose the issue in a lab. Buying back cars is something no one wants including the customer and Ford. I wonder if it had a bad body harness which is why diagnosing, and new PCMs didn't seem to change anything.

I wonder if it was that too, initial problem was in a car wash.

Yeah i hope they can fix it. I wouldnt mind getting a new car as an replacement because then i will go for the automatic only because of all the traffic in my area. Pressing that clutch every 0.5 seconds in traffic makes me wanna:censored: But Ill post the results here so people who gets this same issue would know exactly what to expect.

My Genesis would do that, caused all kinds of problems going in to limp mode and throwing CELs and lighting up the dash. Took three times to the dealer and about a month total before they just replaced the entire ECU/Engine Computer, and it was fine ever since.
