So this morning on the way to work, I had the wipers on in the rain. Rain quit, turned wipers off and they stayed on. Wtf? I guess this’ll be a trip to the dealer for warranty. But is there a fuse or relay I can pull so I’m not watching them for the hour drive home in the dry this afternoon? I don’t have my owners manual with me.

BTW, I have a 21. I'm assuming no difference between the 20 and 21 model years.

Dropped off at dealer this afternoon. After work I got in car and it was pouring down rain so having wipers stuck on was ok. About a mile from the dealer and they started working normal again. Dealer hooked up to it and saw a code for communication loss with something. It’ll be 4-5 days before they can get to it. In typical dealership fashion, drop off a loaded GT Premium and put in a base Escape. I guess I should be grateful they put me in anything.

Also mentioned rpm flare on shifts and slow about going from reverse to drive, especially when cold. Probably low on fluid.

“We couldn’t replicate the issue” yet I picked it up, started the car and the wipers are going. Drove it straight back in the service center, wipers still going. They brought the tech up, he plugged into car, no faults are being reported. The problem must be with the rain sensing wipers, which is turned off. Reflashed the car, said everything is ok now. Started car and no wipers. Turned on, tested function and all good.

The best part, “we found no faults, so warranty doesn’t come into affect. It’ll be $210 for diag fee” am I wrong for thinking that’s BS? They thought so.

Unbelievable, I absolutely dread any dealings with the idiots in the Service Department. Clearly there was a problem and they fixed it. wtf?
