Automatic wipers

Anyone having trouble with the automatic wipers, it rained for the first time sine I got it and they did not come on, I had to turn them on manually, I looked at the manual and have it set at the lowest setting, is there something anyone can think of that I might have missed?

I discovered that you can adjust the sensitivity with the interval knob. Once I cranked mine up a few notches, they started working fine. Also, the lowest position on the stalk is actually off.
