My GT is not like that. Like mentionned above, i can pop up my wiper blades sans problem.

I say it's a desigh flaw period.
What has your Mustang GT got to do with a GT350?

From the windshield forward the whole front clip of the GT350 is a whole new design compared to a regular Mustang.

All of my Boss 302 cars are designed like the Mustang GT's but to suggest that this is a design flaw?

Really?

Absolutely NOT a design flaw. As someone mentioned earlier, it's designed that way to prevent wiper lift at speed. This is, if you will recall, a car designed with track airflow at the top of the list. Function over form every time. Besides, all you need to do it turn the wipers on and stop them at half travel and you'll have all the access you need to clean the windshield.

Lol at being designed that way to prevent wiper lift at high speed.. This is just another quality flaw from ford.

ok those defending its in the manual, I just don't buy it. It is in the manual because they went the cheap way on engineering and used the GT style wipers instead of redesigning to not potentially damage paint and just save a few bucks.

The other piece of it lifting I don't understand either, if you look at the passenger side wiper it has a ton of lift and a hook that is way over the hood.

It is just bad design that another aftermarket piece will need to fix. Hopefully they address it for the 17 models.

I think Ford puts too much stock in human beings being able to look at something and figure it out.

It was the same on my 03 cobra. Ford had been doing this for over 10 years

I guess that is the crux of the issue. I read the manual, but the average Ford service person who is working on my vehicle probably has not and is going to damage it 9 times out of 10.

You don’t want to know
What's next? How about if we debate the species and size of the bugs that should be allowed to pass through the grill and park themselves in the radiator? What is the acceptable engineering standard for that?

Sometimes I get the feeling this forum is populated by a bunch of cranky old women. Some find the smallest issues to complain about and some don't even have their car yet and their in the mix.
Enjoy the frick'in car for what it is, or change what you don't like.

Agreed!

There sure seems to be a certain number of winers on here and they seem to complain about pretty much anything they can find.

As you mentioned either enjoy the car for what it is or move on to another brand which will probably not be nearly as good as these outstanding GT350's.

These are mass production vehicles and not some sort of hand built cars as some think to seem that they should be.
