Our sales have been holding steady. Lets see what stimulus checks do.
I refuse to give the federal government my checking account number so I won't be getting mine any time soon... I'll wait on the paper check thank you. Some stimulus checks are out so people will be buying today ;)
So set up a separate checking account for government and all other direct-deposit sources of income. Transfer monies from there into your normal account as they come in. Thank me later.I refuse to give the federal government my checking account number so I won't be getting mine any time soon... I'll wait on the paper check thank you.
Exactly, use your checking account for direct deposits etc. And transfer money somewhere else once you get it. Works great, all of you "they will steal my money" people should think for a minute how checking accounts work ;)I refuse to give the federal government my checking account number so I won't be getting mine any time soon... My wife used to work for a company that engaged in some very shady practices in their effort to get everybody on direct deposit. I'm talking live paychecks that weren't funded and bounced. More than once. And IIRC even the direct deposit folks weren't immune to payroll problems, and I knew that there were direct deposit problems at the company I worked for when they were first setting up direct deposit payroll. Hence our general separation of checking accounts between incoming and outgoing, with me doing same-day transfer from the incoming account to our general use account.Exactly, use your checking account for direct deposits etc. And transfer money somewhere else once you get it. That's been our own theory for managing our own accounts with respect to direct-deposit funny business that went on in the early days. Keep just enough in the deposit account to avoid maintenance fees. The trick to that is to pull out everything but about $5 as soon as it hits that account.
