Why spend money for return fuel system to run E85 when you can buy race gas?
What is the advantage?
You can buy a lot of race gas for $2000+

The cheapest race gas I could find was 110 octane at 10 dollars a gallon. Id blow thru the grand my sai li fuel system cost. In a year. At that cost. If your like most and race twice a year. Your logic makes more sense. But even a highway pull will drink gas like crazy.

Because most of the time it is alot easier to get E85 at the pump than have to buy race gas in barrels. E85 also has an octane rating well over 100, some cases up to 113. By me they have 100 octane race gas at the pumps at some stations but it is over $9 a gallon, while E85 is $2.79. $144 to fill a tank vs $44

What does a top rated fuel system cost including injectors?

Im about $4100 in my fuel system. But I went all out and got the nice Fore innovations kit with fc3 controller, hobbs switch, id1300x injectors. I think a decent fuel system could be put together for around 2k though. Some id1050x injectors and a sai li kit.

You’ll need a tune to take advantage of race fuel or E85. E85 is something you can run all the time which I do about 98% of the time. E85 offers incredible octane and is a much cooler fuel which also helps plus cost is a little over $3 a gallon on average (cheaper than 87 octane here in CA). I run 100 octane and tune at $10 a gallon when I’m on track cuz they don’t have E85 which would be better and cheaper. At some point I’ll bring my own drum to make a day of it. Doubtful you’d run race gas all the time but E85 is easy if you have stations around. The mileage sucks as it runs richer than gas but the power is ALWAYS there.

I did not know a fuel system would be so expensive.

You base your fuel system on how much horse power you make. Or might make down the road. My sai li kit is good to 800whp. It cost a grand. I have no intention of going over that number The Fore stuff. Or sai li new tripple pump kit. will stretch you out way beyond that. A tripple or quad pump set up will feed 1500hp. But cost 3 to 4 times more. You have to do your research. And think ahead to your ultimate power goal. Before you buy a fuel kit.

Suspension if you haven’t done it. No point in having more power if you can’t put it down.

May be time for a stall converter and maybe consider a transbrake setup. I see nothing with regard to front drag springs and drag struts for better weight transfer in your list.
