Why no 2 seater mustangs?

Why don't they just eliminate the back seats in these things? They are too big and heavy and the back seats are essentially useless besides storage shelves. I'd much rather have the 2 seater version that is faster, lighter, smaller, and gets better mpg as a result of being lighter.

They do make them, GT350R. The reason we don't see V6/ECO/GT's with two seats is probably because four seats, regardless of the size of the back two, is still a selling point. Maybe insurance reasons, too.

I was kinda hoping that my Mustang would give me that extra bonus I need to have more than one woman around!

They should include a rear seat delete for the performance package option IMO. Or just a rear seat delete option.

The car is already nose heavy as it is, taking the back seats out would mess up the weight distribution even more. What can be done is carry the trans and battery towards the back and make it a two seater with the car trimmed down in length a bit. You could shed couple of hundred pounds off and have an amazing hack of a track car

build your own- its not too hard. measure the boards and get some fabric from hobby shop and a staple gun

I agree, I wish it came with no backseats. They've been used once in 6 months.

My back seats have never been use in the Mustang, and never will....... But in my TEENS the BACK SEAT was always USED at the Drive-In Movie...... :cheers:

I've used the back seats a few times. Hated every second of getting an adult in and out. I could understand those with kids wanting the option for seats. I'm considering rear seat delete. Would prefer something like the boss Laguna Seca with the X brace. Haven't found one for the S550. Please enlighten me if you have found it!
