Back seats make this car a go for me too, gotta be able to get the kids back there, otherwise I would have to seek another option

there also is no 430hp car with 2 seats either under 40k. all there is, is a 370z but that's not a v8 or 430hp and is in desperate need of a redesign. It's why I had to get rid of my 350z is for my two kids or else I'd still have that car as it was paid off since 09 lol. Had it for 8 years though but after having a mustang now with more power, back seat, and similar irs...mustang really feels like an upgraded with a backseat albeit heavier version of my 350z because of that irs.

if it didn't have backseats I couldn't have a mustang and I would be a sad.

do not give ford ideas
+1. I raised my kids while owning coupes. Mostly Mustangs, but also Thunderbirds and a '68 GTO. I still use the back seat for people every now & then, so it has to stay a 4 seater or else I have to buy something else.

The vast majority of Mustangs are daily drivers so they need the utility, IMO.

Here's your 2-seater Mustang. We can close this thread now.

It's there for an insurance break
THIS ^^

Same reason they stuff a back seat in a 911 2+2

Having the extra "back seat" changes the car classification for insurance.

ny 14 year old and 8 year old daughters fit fine in a pinch. Part of the reason i got this car and got rid of my SHO was we took the wife Ex Sport everywhere as a family.

I just needed to be able to fit the kids in the car in a pinch, and i can. Totally happy with the back seat size.

some of my greatest memories where riding in the back seat of my dads 94 mustang. I vote to keep the back seat.
My god you just made me feel sofa king old :), since I had already thrown away 2 mustangs by 94, and was married.

And my "dads" car was a '74 Maverick.

What about the 2+2 option? For those that don't need the back seats and would like the extra room for "stuff" it would look kind of cool. I thought that was kind of a cool feature back in the day.

2+2 helps a lot. I can sit behind myself with my seating adjustment
