Why is there so much hate from the 2011+ community?

Must be a vocal few?

I certainly don't hate it even though I'd rather have seen the rear panel stand up a little straighter as you see it in side view. Hell, if I was driving it, it'd be someone else's problem because I'd be enjoying the drive.

FATT - I too have bought a car that had something about its general exterior appearance I didn't particularly care for on first sighting. Kept that car for over 30 years.

I guess for me, yes, the new car is an upgrade from the 2011. But, I don't see a reason as to why anyone with a 11-14 would hate the new car. The 11-14 is a great car for the value. Even when I hop on the S550 Mustang, I'll still look back with fondness on the previous generation. Those were amazing cars.

Then again, I'm one of the few who even still loves the New Edge era cars.

If anything, I see more bashing from the 15 owners on the 11-14 generation than anything. I've never seen so many Mustang fans bash on a car like they have with the 11-14's.

I have mixed feelings on the 2015 Mustang. Photos don't do it justice. I'm a big fan of the 50th Anv appearance package & will probably being buying a Yellow GT in a few months.

The 2015's brakes & interior are awesome but Ford failed on the weight and the car drives heavy to me but is way more stable but slower than my 2013 GT.
Slower? Maybe a tiny bit in a straight line but it's going to murder your 2013 in corners.

I've seen and experienced these 3 scenarios:

1. those '15 haters that are hell bent on telling you why your car sucks
2. those that are all about anything Mustang no matter the year/body style/or color and are nothing but excited to even stand anywhere near your new car
3. and then those people that aren't even Mustang fans that come up to me and tell me "I'm not even a mustang fan but I love your car".

People are fickle. Drive what will make you happy :headbang:

AS a 2011 gt owner, I am a huge fan of the new car. The only thing that keeps one from being in my garage is the upcoming gt350 which I think will be by far the best car I've ever owned.

I agree with others, that the lack of a SIGNIFICANT HP increase along with a SIGNIFICANT weight reduction was a real disappointment for many. I wasn't thrilled. But, the new car is just as fast in the straight, much faster in corners, easier to sit in for a long drive, has a dramatically more up-market interior.... It's by pretty much all measurable standards a better car!
