As the title states. Can't see it not being a popular colour. Surely not to make room for another colour? Then again. It took me a long time to find that colour on a base GT.

They rotate some colors, depending on sales. Certain colors are one year old, others for two years. I love Grabber Blue, but it's certainly not for everyone. Also, while I would gladly drive an original Grabber Blue Boss 302 or Boss 429, I'm not sure 'Professional' 35 year old me would buy a new car in that color.

They rotate all the desirable colors every couple years to "bring them back"

Yeah, they batch them up. If they sold them all the time the numbers would be super low because a color that loud just isn't for everyone, so they release them every few years and scoop up all the buyers who were on the fence waiting for that color.

They always seem to have Magnetic, White and Black though.

could be too where the paint was supplied from. Maybe a factory overseas closed up so they had to drop the color, or the price got to expensive from a certain factory. One example is back in 2011/2012, when a Tsunami knocked out a factory that Ford was getting Lava Red and Kona Blue from. So the 2012 Mustangs with those colors were very limited. I think they only did less than 500 Mustangs in Lava Red, i know for a fact that 3 Roush's were available in that color, but no Shelby's.

I like grabber blue with satin black accents. I doubt a pastel color like that in is shortage from overseas. Easy color to make.

They have certain stock paints like black, white, and red. They may make minor changes to the paint on those colors, but they stay close to the same every year. Other colors are given a few years before going into hiatus, but often get replaced by a similar color. Magnetic replaced Sterling Gray Metallic, which replaced Alloy. Grabber Blue is popular the last few years, but people like change. And it makes some people happy to know they have a more unique color. You rarely see Sunset Gold that the 2010 models had available, even though a lot of people like it.

In 1970, I wanted a Mach 1 in Grabber Blue but my dad bought me a Yellow Maverick w/a 302.

I went back and forth over this '17 in Grabber Blue and a new 2014 in the same color.
Was going for a Shadow Black GT if I didn't get the price I wanted on the Blue.

As I stated in another thread, I don't like this body style. I like the '14.
I just couldn't see paying nearly the same for a '14 that I could buy a '17 for............

Funny you should mention that, cause it got me thinking about what my wife said. First off she loves my car, the power, the colour the looks.
She really doesn't know too much about older Mustangs, so one day I asked her to look at a pic of a s197, s550, & a 1966 Mustang and I asked
her which of the other two look like the 66, she said definitely the s550. SHe said the s197 looks like its trying to hard to look like the older Mustang
whereas the s550 you can see the lineage right away.

They rotate colors. Personally, I hope they drop Kona Blue after this year. My 2018 GT is Kona Blue. I would hate for my favorite color to become so common it starts to get monotonous, like an over-played pop song.
