Figured I'd post this so we can gauge just how many of us are ordering a 2016 Mustang V6. On some of the other threads people have asked so let us know and congrats on making an awesome decision to get a Mustang!!! :ford::ford::ford:

That's really not accurate. We have quite a few V6 owners on the threads so I'm wondering who will be choosing this option for 16. I absolutely LOVE my V6, as do the others here, so if you're considering another engine choice - check out a V6 and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed :ford::ford::ford:

Looked around for a full optioned out 2015 GT vert to trade my 2013GT vert in for. Best price around at the time was $44,000. But while looking around dealer lots, I stumbled upon a 2015 V-6 vert with every option for the ridiculus price of $28,700. That $15,300 difference was too huge to ignor. Two big questions remained; could I live without a V-8?, and could I live without all the "frills" afforded by all the "bells & whistles"? Hell yes I could. Replaced the base cloth seats with Katzskins leather for $1,200 and now I have a great looking cruiser convertible. She's faster than 7 of my other V-8 Mustangs that I've owned over the years. And oh by the way, I still have that $15,000 savings...truly heartwarming!

Probably going to have a few guys like me getting into them. I'm 20, last year of university, working full time through summer at the same company for the last 2 summers (and part time through the school year). I've been fortunate enough to be in the position where I can afford a brand new car but I'm not stupid. A brand new 2015 GT was waaaaaaay outside my price range so I went with the v6. I really don't need a larger screen, nav, heated/cooled seats and the 4 drive modes (not to mention I hate leather seats). It'll be my second v6 and I'll love having it until I'm ready to buy a v8 (If they're even offered at that time).

Congratulations to all of the people ordering a 2016 v6!

Buying a new Mustang V-6 makes a lot of sense...Dollars and CENTS! Glad to see younger buyers realizing how such a purchase can be so smart!

It is a great deal, I mean I got mine with a deep discount so it really made sense to get this car. I have friends driving econocars who are paying more than I am per month. I mean if you don't need al the extras or are willing to wait and upgrade over time like I am- the V6 makes the best choice!!

You're so right, Stam616, who needs all those extra luxuries when the base V-6 comes very well equipped. Why pay for something you really don't need or want. Kinda reminds me of the old axiom, "A Fool and His Money will soon Part"! LOL.

The premium options are nice. The drive modes and toggles are pretty sweet.

I'd be all over a V6 but again Ford doesn't want us in that...they want us in the EB.
