15% on the sides, 5% on the back.Have not seen a thread like this, my car should be here in about 1-2 weeks. Trying to decide how dark I should go, I was thinking 20% on the sides and 10% on the back. Have not tinted a car before, I think 45% is legal hear, but my friends say that is barely noticeable. So at what % is start where you barely see in side, but still kind of can?

nice same color/ stripe combo as me, the tint definitely makes it look meaner15% on the sides, 5% on the back.
Got 20 percent on the back 3 windows. Looks great but really hard to see out the back window at night. Good thing for that backup camHave not seen a thread like this, my car should be here in about 1-2 weeks. Trying to decide how dark I should go, I was thinking 20% on the sides and 10% on the back. Yep, I love it, although it's nerve wracking driving it. Already been pulled over and ticketed for it. Just paid the fine and kept the tint. I'm more careful now to drive with the windows down. LOLnice same color/ stripe combo as me, the tint definitely makes it look meaner
I did the same. It was going to be more expensive to remove tint and install legal ones than it was to just pay the fine. Happened on vacation too . I didn't know I was in an infamous Tint Nazi city(Irvine, CA?)Yep, I love it, although it's nerve wracking driving it. Already been pulled over and ticketed for it. I think it's that way all over CA. What is so screwed up about being ticketed for illegal tint is it's obviously not about the legalities of said tint; it's about how much you're willing to pay to keep it on your car, else they'd insist you remove it. :rant:I did the same. I had no idea you could just pay a fine anymore. I thought that fix it tickets now required what ever needed fixing be fixed and signed off that it had been done. How much was the fine?I did the same. It was going to be more expensive to remove tint and install legal ones than it was to just pay the fine. Happened on vacation too . That's what the cop told me when he gave me the ticket but when I got my notice in the mail there was the option to just pay the fine and take no further action. Mine was about $170, IIRC.I had no idea you could just pay a fine anymore. I thought that fix it tickets now required what ever needed fixing be fixed and signed off that it had been done.
