Just thought I would show what times are possible from Whipples canned tune. Pretty happy with the car, and I love my whipple. Base gt, 6spd manual, pretty much full weight (3870), spec clutch. I need to get a better handle on the suspension to get the 60' down, I had the vikings maxed out and the rear was still squatting so hard the tires were rubbing the quarters.

Yeah that was my old man. We were focusing on getting it off the line all day. Have a bunch of slow motion video of the launches, but cant seem to get them on youtube.

Sorry for the off subject question...But are you using a 2 step and transbreak? Or just a 2 step? Nevermind, I see you are manual. Nice numbers, BTW.

Bmr drag springs, cradle lockout, viking shocks, and a good alignment. It has pypes headers, 3" exhaust I made to the factory mufflers.

Thanks.

Very seriously considering going Whipple this winter. My biggest concern is lack traction. I'm more interested in handling than quarter mile times so I'd be running street tires and currently have Koni's and BMR handling springs and cradle lockout.

Great time for minimal mods and for a stick.

I didn't realize you could run headers with the canned Whipple tune. Great times, especially for a stick car!

You can run headers on it just like the stock tune. You will get check engine codes for catalytic converters efficiency and be running really rich, but it will work.

Amazing! Please let me know your Wheel/tire/pressure set up. I’m on the Whipple tune for now and looking for a wheel/tire setup for my Boss. Thanks!

Why would it run "really rich"?

I got the rear wheels and tires off of craigslist with two passes on them, they are american muscle 17x10.5 w/ 28x10 hoosiers. They are not listed on their site to fit the s550, but they fit perfect with no modifications. I bought the front wheels from american muscle 18x8, again not listed to fit and did require a little grinding of the caliper (could have used a spacer). Tires are cheapies I bought off amazon for 35 shipped, lol.
